Summary

Darcy Gallagher has always believed in the pull of fate, the magic of legend...and the importance of money. She longs to find a rich man who will sweep her away - into a world filled with glamour and adventure, and the exotic life that is her destiny.

A wealthy businessman with Irish blood, Trevor Magee has come to Ardmore to build a theater - and uncover secrets hidden in his family's past. He thought he had given up on love long ago, but Darcy Gallagher tempts him like no woman ever has. She's gorgeous, intelligent, and she knows what she wants - and he's more than willing to give it to her.

But as their mutual attraction flares into passion, they look into their hearts - and find out what happens when you truly believe.

Critic reviews

"Roberts is triumphant in realizing fully developed characters, as both Trevor and Darcy turn out to be vulnerable human beings with appealingly ordinary hopes and dreams." ( Publishers Weekly)

wont stop me from trying again

As romances go, it had all the requirements, with a little fairy magic thrown in, however, the reader was American and tried to do and Irish accent, being Irish, it made me cringe, it was as bad as Dick Van Dikes cockney in Mary Poppins. She also once got her American and Irish people mixed up. I had to stop listening. I may go back to it later on but for now........

Heart of the Sea

Would you consider the audio edition of Heart of the Sea to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version but I would assume so.. listening to a story about the Irish with someone reading it with the Irish accent adds to the story.

Any additional comments?

I was sad when the series was over, I loved listening to Irish having Irish background my self. Feeling like old friends who are now gone .

Number one fan of Nora Roberts!

I not only liked this book it’s my favorite of all three. I have read (heard) since I am hearing it for the fifth time and will listen again in a few months time. Darcy is my favorite character since book one. I have told everyone who will listen to me about these books. Though these three are running neck to neck with the McGreger series.

Nice story, ok wrap up

This story was ok. I liked the setting and some of the characters but felt the story in this was the weakest of the three. I'm a sucker for the Irish story lines though, so I enjoyed it.

What A Heart This Has!!

If this book doesn’t tug at your heart strings, make you laugh, and make you grimace, you need to ask yourself if you have a heart. And if it doesn’t make you cry at least once or twice, you can be sure you’ve not not a drop of Irish blood in you. For best results read the entire trilogy. It’s a beauty.

Wonderful trilogy

Another beautifully written Trilogy. I was so sad that it had to end.
I totally enjoyed the narrator. Patricia’s, energetic storytelling, with the twang of Irishness...
I loved all the characters & the stories of each of there life’s, that Nora Roberts put in this Trilogy, plus the destination, description of the parts of Ireland, were spot on perfect.
I want more, please.
Thanks Chris G

Completion

As in all three they end with the freak reveal, but st least letting the parents meet, a little further would have been more satisfying in all three books. At least the grand opening!
