Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her. The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his 14-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.

There's something Gemma wants more than anything else. And when Franco propositions her to provide what she's looking for, everything changes. Will it transform friendship into love, or will it be their ruin?
I loved Franco's story so much! I knew he was a good guy but this book just showed how great he was. I found this story to be a little predictable but that's ok because it still made my heart happy even if I knew what was coming. The Bright Side, Gus, Franco world is so full of good-hearted people who deserve nothing but great in their lives. During the epilogue I found myself a little sad because Kate wasn't there is see how happy everyone is and to meet all the new people that would have been in her life. I know... I know it's a book but it just hit me so hard I can't help but think of them as real.
The narration of this book didn't work for me. I love Jeremy York and his narration but I do not think he was a good choice for Franco. He made Franco seem a little to wimpy and emotional with his soft spoken voices. I think Franco needed to be a little more rough sounding like Gus was. I still gave it 5 stars for narration because he is a good narrator it wasn't him, just more about casting.

I have to be honest that Bright Side is one of my favorite books ever and when Gus came out I was so excited, and then I was kind of let down. I liked Gus, but it was kind of predictable and a little too scripted after the typical romance for me, but Franco was a come back for me. I liked that some of the humor from Bright Side was back and it was a little less of a patterned romance. The wit and sarcasm of these characters were great and I'm glad I finally listened to this. Jeremy York is an awesome narrator and made a great Franco.

What did you love best about Franco?
The story is great from start to finish in typical Kim Holden fashion!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Franco is every bit the silly, flirty, easy going rock star we've all come to love and Kim captures his personality expertly. This narrator however, sounds like an uncool, middle aged creeper and it completely throws off the entire story. All the fun vibes and playful banter we got from Rook in the previous books are dead. Jeremy York isn't a bad narrator, he's just bad for this book
Any additional comments?
Narration can make or break a story! I highly recommend avoiding the audiobook and reading the kindle or print version instead. The story is amazing, Kim Holden is amazing, Franco is amazing.

My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.5
Story: 4.25
I've adored this whole series and this book was no exception. Franco and Gemma meet by chance when she's in the states for a few weeks and a friends with benefits develops. While they both develop deep feelings for one another, they have very different lives...her in Britain, him throughout the world as he goes on tour with the band. So, they agree to be friends, good friends.
I liked them together so much. Gemma is incredible. She's just so straightforward and honest about what she wants. I love her for that. Then there's Franco and just how much he really likes this girl, although he can't see how they can work out.
And in between it all is the band and Gus. I loved getting to see him again and his irreverent view of life. He and Franco are so awesome together...best friends bound by so much.
Everything about this entire series is fantastic! I highly recommend this book and the first two in the series, too. You can read any of them as a standalone, but I don't think you should. Everyone needs to know Kate (Bright Side) to understand these guys and how they approach life. I love ALL these characters so much. This world that Kim Holden has created is just amazing. I love it!!
I enjoyed this one a lot. Not my fav of the trio, but the ending really wrapped everything up nicely for me. I'm a fan! thanks Kim Holden fir this awesome series! I really love these characters!
Wow. Kim Holden proving what an astonishing talent she is again. I love this story.
Another wonderful listen Kim Holden writes with love and it shows ... Jeremy York was terrific as Franco .
this book is special, the man on the cover sounds like the words in the book. I am believing that men portrayed in books like these really exist. it is worth the credit and cost.
enjoy
I love all of Kim Holden's. All. Of. Them. The narrator, Jeremy York, nailed it. I felt EVERYTHING. It was almost like being at the movies!! God Bless the Wankers!! ❤
