Publisher's Summary

Fisher,

I guess this is it, huh? After 14 years together, starting a life of our own on this island, five deployments, and countless letters I've written you through it all, I finally go out to the mailbox and see something I've always dreamed of: an envelope with your handwriting on it. For one moment, I actually thought you'd changed your mind, that all the awful things you said to me were just your way of coping after everything you'd been through. I was still here, Fisher. I was still here, holding my breath, waiting for you to come back even though you told me you never would. You always said you'd find your way back to me. Out of all the lies you've told me, this one hurts the most. Enclosed you will find the signed divorce papers, as requested. I hope you find what you're looking for. I'm sorry it wasn't me.

Lucy

To get the ending they want, Lucy and Fisher will have to go back to the beginning. Through the good and the bad, they'll be reminded of why they always made their way back to each other, and why this time, one way or another, it will be the last time.

Absolutely loved every minute. I ended up listening to this book in one sitting. Story was very well written, and Zachery Webber and Andi Arndt, did an amazing job yet again with the narration. I highly recommend this book.

"This is not a drill- the author, narrators, and story are a "listen to me now"!!"

Seriously guys- this journey, narrated by the wonderful Andi Arndt and smoldering Zachary Webber, should not be passed upon. I'm so very, very glad I took a shot on this book even though I wasn't loving the cover and the blurb didn't exactly reach out to me. It was absolutely fantastic. The journey of Fisher and Lucy was heart wrenching and heart warming. It was sweet, it was harsh, -ugh- just everything!!! I am doing a re-listen already but wish I could experience it for the first time again.
Please be advised that Fisher does experience flashbacks from his time in the service as a PTSD victim, but I do not foresee any stressors for anyone. There is no violence against the heroine.

    "Brilliant writing and narration!"

Wow, this poignant second chance romance was so beautifully emotional and sexy! It also included some perfectly place levity, which I so needed at times! This tale was expertly crafted, moving sinuously between present and past scenes that kept me completely captivated from start to finish. I was also fascinated when the same scene was told from different characters pov and how two people can remember the same event so differently. I admired how Ms Sivec portrayed a difficult subject with honesty and empathy and how she made me appreciate what our soldiers and their families go through. I really cared for both Lucy and Fisher and loved how they evolved and grew from the high school sweethearts to the adults they are now. Both narrators skillfully brought the story and characters to life making me feel like I was there with them on the island. I was totally lost in the realism of their storytelling. I loved every minute of this book and can't recommend it highly enough!

    "AMAZING"

I first read this book when it was released. When I saw that it was coming to audio, and that Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt were doing the narration, I couldn't wait for an audio reread. They surpassed my already high expectations.

Fisher's Light addresses emotional topics such as PTSD and the relationship struggles after someone returns from war. Both narrators nailed the emotion while telling the story. You don't feel like you're being read to; you can put yourself into that moment, that scene. And while that's a main focus of the story, there is so much more story built around it.

    Definitely deserves all the stars!

    "Oh The Feels!!!!!"

This is the first time I felt absolutely COMPELLED to write a review. This book...where do I begin? I initially purchased it based on my slight (massive) obsession with Zachary Webber's sexy voice and amazing story telling abilities but quickly found myself falling down the rabbit hole on this one. It is quite possibly the most romantic story I have ever "read". Everything from the pain that these two characters endure to the hilarious names that Fisher has for the character Stanford, is nothing short of perfection! If you make it to the end without crying, laughing, and falling in love, then you have no soul. Plain and simple.

One of the best audio romances I have listened to. I loved all the characters and the narrators were superb. So worth the listen if you believe in true love.

    "I absolutely LOVED it!"

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars for the story is bcz I felt like parts of the end and epilogue was rushed, especially the epilogue. Other than that, it was PERFECT! Oh wait- as much as I LOVE Andi, I obsessed with Zachary Webbers narration. His voice is like soft ear porn and he doesn't even have to try. Good golly!! ❤️❤️❤️

"Great Story, don't let the cover fool you 😉"

So glad I read the reviews on this, because it was the reviews and the narrators that made me decide to take a chance on reading it, the cover of the book threw me off. Really good story must try it out and I'm a big fan of Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber!
