    Any additional comments?

Found it a little hard to believe what Drake, Allie, and Spencer all did differently with their monies. Allie taking care of her father's estate REALLY The man said everything was paid for and he was hiding out because of the Russians with no paper trail to follow in the 1st book. So what estate? Didn't you remember that part? Spencer was far to smart for some the incidents in this adventure. I feel Drake is getting whiny. Doesn't have the same charisma he once did. Allie having studied archaeology missed the mark several times. I love Spencer ! This book was not as intriguing as the 1st

What did you love best about Emerald Buddha?

Joe. I really liked his character. He made me laugh all the way thru the book.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Hmmmm......I would have been listening to Joe Ledger. This book was just fine the way it was. I enjoyed the whole thing. The tin foil hat twist that it took was awesome.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

It's RAY PORTER people. What ISN'T there to like about Ray Porter. Sheesh.

If you could take any character from Emerald Buddha out to dinner, who would it be and why?

    Probably the Emerald Buddha.

    Any additional comments?

I've read all the comments making jest of this series. I have to say I like it. It's not rocket science. It's entertaining as all get out. AND it's narrated by Ray Porter. I'm glad I came into the series late. The third book comes out in a couple weeks. I can't wait.

"Fun read, but the characters are 2d"

These books are great beach reads, but you can't go in expecting a lot of character development. if actually say the female lead is becoming more damsel in distress than she was in the first book. And Drake is even more winey. But hey, the gun fights are well written, the pacing is good, and the stories wrap up nicely in the end.

"The first book was better! This one is just ok!"

Ray Porter's narration was excellent, however, the story in this second book of the series just ok! I enjoyed the first book much more!

"wasn't the follow up that I was looking for"

the narrator did an amazing job, he makes most books I've heard him read better. I loved the first book and was excited to get into the second, but was kinda disappointed. I didn't feel the characters grew in the course of this book, and actually felt like their development went backwards. No real mystery for the Buddha and it was barely even a thing in the course of the book.

"Too much CIA and political intrigue."

Love the characters including the latest addition - Joe, but would prefer more treasure hunting and less political stuff. Ray Porter was great as usual but for me this book was definitely not as good as Ramsey's Gold. I found the political stuff too formula and boring.

"not to bad for a sequel"

was a good book. I did enjoy some of the political insight, but when it became more of a distraction or tangent, it really messed up the flow. I hope this series continues and that the author brings more of the treasure hunt back into it.
