A LAZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON READ
I wondered if Judy had what it takes to write a best seller, but yes i think she may have. I enjoyed 'Eloise', this haunted Cornish story, will it keep you wondering till the end or perhaps not. A nice story line, easy reading for a cold snowy day. Looking forward to book No. 2.

Gripping Story
Where does Eloise rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Really enjoyed the3 story thought it was quite gripping but maybe just a little short.

Emotional
I loved listening to this book as it really tugged at the friendship heart strings. The nods to depression and coping with it are dealt with well within the book. It has a great believeable storyline for a first novel, well done Judy!

this is not okay
quite simply, Chris is a narcissistic and abusive, what is Judy doing writing a story, constantly brushes over the abuse, and ends the story by making his undermining of his wife's self esteem perfectly okay because he said sorry at the end.

A cornish story at it's best
I loved this book. a great story which couln't put down set ina beautiful part of England. Judy has a natural flair for writing and her book came to life. I do hope this is the first of many books.

Not bad
Um.... not really sure what to say about this story. First of all I got through it and did enjoy it, but it was very predictable - a sad but flowery perspective on a life and a not half bad ghost story - it seemed to fast forward in places where the author could clearly find nothing more exciting to fill in. There are all the classic school day story characters in this book - a flowery pretty rich girl, a solid and devoted friend, a sceptical friend, a bad guy husband, an anonymous lover, a mother and the innocent victims (children!). I would hazard a good guess that if anyone but Judy Finnigan had written this story, it would not have got published, but it isn't bad by any means - I have just come across a lot better stories and much better writing. Neither was I impressed with the narration. Would I recommend this book? - YES. I think this is a good base for Judy Finnigan and I think her next book with be better. She has the potential to be a good writer and even the best writers started with, or has somewhere in their works mediocre! Enjoy.

Brilliant
I very much enjoyed Judy Finnigan's Eloise. Beautifully written, with images of Cornwall so well portrayed.
A brilliant story line kept you going till the end. Very well narrated and now I am going to have to find a book to match this.

Loved it
This the 1st book written by Judy Finnican, after hearing an interview on the radio I thought I would give it a listen. The book is engaging right from the beginning. It is well written and I could relate to the main character very quickly. The book is set in Cornwall, a place I have never been but the description of the area really made me want to visit soon.
Well done Judy really enjoyed your 1st book, can't wait for the next.

Compulsive and rewarding listening
This is a truly great story, even further enhanced by brilliant narration. The characterisation, family dynamics and plot are all superb. About half-way through, I found myself desperately hoping that the plot wouldn't feebly peter out at the end, but it didn't! It kept me guessing as to what was going to happen right up to the end. I'm not normally a big fan of ghost type stories, but this should not be missed.

Overall story is interesting but tedious.
I did enjoy this book to start, but then it started to get repetitive and annoying. But I felt I had to listen as wanted too know the outcome. Bit predictable in places but then a twist which I found a bit far fetched.
