Summary

England, 1924: Jane und Paul sind seit Jahren ein Liebespaar, aber im Verborgenen. Denn Paul kommt aus gutem Hause und Jane ist das Dienstmädchen vom Nachbaranwesen. Viele Jahrzehnte später blickt sie zurück und erzählt von dem Tag, ab dem alle Grenzen bedeutungslos wurden.
