Summary
Anno 1517. Mit letzter Kraft haben Kristina und Witter ihre Häscher abgeschüttelt. Zuflucht finden die beiden Täufer in Giebelstadt, dem Heimatdorf von Lud, der ihnen schon einmal das Leben rettete. Auch hier schlägt ihnen, den "Ketzern", Hass entgegen. Gefahr droht jedoch nicht nur von innerhalb des Dorfes: In Würzburg schmiedet Prinz Konrad Pläne, sich Giebelstadt und seine Ländereien unter den Nagel zu reißen, solange es herrenlos ist. Damit das nicht passiert, begeben Lud und Witter sich auf die gefährliche Reise nach England, um den Erben von Giebelstadt nach Hause zu holen: Florian Geyer, den Mann, der Jahre später zum Helden einer ganzen Region werden wird.
