Summary

For Raven Black, hunting criminals is second nature. So is denial. It's not easy moving forward with one foot stuck in the past. But a new case offers her a much-needed distraction when Keystone accepts their toughest assignment yet - to track down an elusive criminal who's selling children on the black market.

Their investigation leads them deep into the underbelly of the Breed world, a place both treacherous and enticing. With no room for mistakes, Raven makes a tough decision to lock the door to her past before it interferes with her job. The only trouble? Christian holds the key.

The stakes are high, and a shocking twist turns everything on its head. Will they catch this criminal before more lives are lost? Find out in the latest edge-of-your-seat installment of the Crossbreed series.

And the Story Continued Brilliantly

The story continues with Raven Black, Christian and Keystone. This time the story revolves around the trade in young babies/children who have been stolen from their parents.
Very well written as always, with fully fledged characters and a detailed story line.

Towards the end of the book there is a very emotional scene between Raven and her father and separate scene between Patrick and Shepherd. I am certain that the event between Patrick and Shepherd will be another book in due course.

The love between Raven and Christian is on and off as before but also progressing as it should.

I will be buying the next in the series when it becomes available.

Twists and turns

This book is full of twists and turns, tears and heart ache, yet happiness and laughs too.

There is nothing like a book that wraps you up in knots and spits you out at the end. This book does that and so much more. This is the third of the series and sure makes an impact.

Danika should be apploded for making readers want to rip off fictional characters' heads. Then make readers absolutely fall in love with other characters.

5+++ Deathtrap Stars

“Believe it or not, good things can come out of chaos. Life can arise from death just as death can arise from life.” - Dannika Dark

You know, there are books you just can’t get enough of, the ones that get under your skin you want to share them with the world.

This, my friends is one of those books. This whole series has been a shocker for me. And I will tell you why. I am a romance fanatic.

This series hints at romance and relationships, and you can see things are developing. But it’s not about that, it is about these characters and their connections not only to themselves but to one another.

I can’t tell you how happy it was to listen to a book and just get it, and want more.

Of course this book continues where the last one ended and we get the whole Keystone clan. I will say Victor is growing on me. I really wasn’t sure if I was ever going to like the fellow.

So so many emotions, I went from laughing to smiling to tears, to downright anger, to heart pounding anticipation. Then back to happy and joy.

I am left smiling and with hope of what is to come in the next book. I have so many questions so many wishes and hopes.

I have to say it again Nicole Poole is fanfreakingtastic. She brings these characters off the page and breathes life into them. They feel like friends and that’s not only a testament to the narrator but to the fabulous author. Dannika’s world is unlike any I have read before and I am greedy because I want and need more.

“Tears don’t make you weak. Fear does. Weep all you want for what happened to ya, that's your right. But never give someone your fear. That’s power. That’s control.” - Dannika Dark

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Sigh.......

Dannika does it again! The sexual tension between Raven and Christian is more palpable than ever and the plot twist surprised me. I can't say I saw that one! Not to mention the emotional scene with Ravens father. So much packed in this book combined with Nicole's fantastic narration. I can't wait for the next one!!!!!!!

Keystone does it again!

What did you love best about Deathtrap?

I love that the characters in Keystone are beginning to flesh out more. I love the team's camaraderie and that Raven is beginning to open up.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Everyone, but on any given day I would say Christian is my favorite. In this book however my heart goes out to Shepard and I enjoyed getting to know him better. His struggle was unexpected and welcome in that it helps explain why he is the way he is.

Have you listened to any of Nicole Poole’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all of Dannika Dark's books on audio. Nicole Poole has narrated all of them. She is amazing. Nicole does different accents and emotes very well. I think her expressiveness can move me just as much as the words that are written.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Raven reuniting with her father was emotional for me. Additionally the moment Raven and Christian finally admit their feelings and expectations toward each other was very them and very welcome as a reader/ listener.

Any additional comments?

I am very invested in Keystone. Subtle (or not so subtle) plot lines keep opening up and I am looking forward to following them. I really hope Shepard gets his justice cause oh man, that situation really sucks.

Finally!!!!

Another good addition to the Crossbreed Series. It was very interesting learning about Shepard's past, and the new revelations. As always I love my Christian Poe. Im starting to understand Raven more as the series continues. Gem is still my favorite female in this series.
