Publisher's Summary

For Raven Black, hunting criminals is second nature. So is denial. It's not easy moving forward with one foot stuck in the past. But a new case offers her a much-needed distraction when Keystone accepts their toughest assignment yet - to track down an elusive criminal who's selling children on the black market.

Their investigation leads them deep into the underbelly of the Breed world, a place both treacherous and enticing. With no room for mistakes, Raven makes a tough decision to lock the door to her past before it interferes with her job. The only trouble? Christian holds the key.

The stakes are high, and a shocking twist turns everything on its head. Will they catch this criminal before more lives are lost? Find out in the latest edge-of-your-seat installment of the Crossbreed series.

"And the Story Continued Brilliantly "

The story continues with Raven Black, Christian and Keystone. This time the story revolves around the trade in young babies/children who have been stolen from their parents.
Very well written as always, with fully fledged characters and a detailed story line.

Towards the end of the book there is a very emotional scene between Raven and her father and separate scene between Patrick and Shepherd. I am certain that the event between Patrick and Shepherd will be another book in due course.

The love between Raven and Christian is on and off as before but also progressing as it should.

I will be buying the next in the series when it becomes available.

    "5+++ Deathtrap Stars"

“Believe it or not, good things can come out of chaos. Life can arise from death just as death can arise from life.” - Dannika Dark

You know, there are books you just can’t get enough of, the ones that get under your skin you want to share them with the world.

This, my friends is one of those books. This whole series has been a shocker for me. And I will tell you why. I am a romance fanatic.

This series hints at romance and relationships, and you can see things are developing. But it’s not about that, it is about these characters and their connections not only to themselves but to one another.

I can’t tell you how happy it was to listen to a book and just get it, and want more.

Of course this book continues where the last one ended and we get the whole Keystone clan. I will say Victor is growing on me. I really wasn’t sure if I was ever going to like the fellow.

So so many emotions, I went from laughing to smiling to tears, to downright anger, to heart pounding anticipation. Then back to happy and joy.

I am left smiling and with hope of what is to come in the next book. I have so many questions so many wishes and hopes.

I have to say it again Nicole Poole is fanfreakingtastic. She brings these characters off the page and breathes life into them. They feel like friends and that’s not only a testament to the narrator but to the fabulous author. Dannika’s world is unlike any I have read before and I am greedy because I want and need more.

“Tears don’t make you weak. Fear does. Weep all you want for what happened to ya, that's your right. But never give someone your fear. That’s power. That’s control.” - Dannika Dark

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

"This series just keeps getting better"

I love the complexity of all the characters and how they blend together each giving a little bit to the story. but not always told from the lead characters point of view. it's different and I like it and Nicole Poole is awesome at giving each and every person a distinct voice and there's sometimes I forget that it's a female reading these male characters that's how good she is. I don't want to give away the book but more than once I thought the book was over to find out there was more multiple times. I had to look at my phone to see how much was left of the book because I swore that we were at the end and there was still two hours left was great I haven't had that in a long long time.

    "The Plot Thickens"

Deathtrap keeps with the story line of the previous Keystone novels. The plots, though a bit predictable, become more complex as the story reaches it's climax. I found the different story lines enjoyable and it allows us to become closer to the other members of Keystone.

This books main plot is around Shepard, the Sensor, who I find the least interesting of them all. Even after this book I feel nothing but annoyance for the dude. If he were killed off I would be grateful because Vicktor could start looking for someone else. The author wants him to come across as mysterious but I just find him rude and boring. A sad story about his past is revealed and I couldn't care any less. By mid way your gonna know what the plot twist will be but it was still interesting to see how D.D. told the story.

Raven and Christian still have issues with their feelings. I wish this story line could have moved a bit slower but I'm gonna assume there is something she is building up to besides them eventually getting it on.

There were some things that raised a brow. Example, there are three separate non related scenes where a character is caught on top of a car while it's moving... it's like DD wrote the first scene and said ," That was fun, I think I'll do it 2 more times!"

Also, how is it that Raven lives on the outskirts of the city she was born and raised and never comes across anyone who knew her as a human? This one gets worse when she talks with her father... I wont spoil it but it left me with questions on practibility.

Narrator really does a good job with Christian and Vicktor. She is becoming one of my favorites.

"Great book, no can't wait for the next in this series. "

I have read all the books in this series, and I can't wait to read the next, that I'd the only bad part.... Having to wait.. The narrator is awesome as well, as the characters are very distinguishable, and she has a pleasant voice, so easy to listen to as well.

    "Great characters and fun read-listen"

I have really enjoyed the whole Crossbreed Series by Dannika Dark. I bought the first book on a whim and ended up listening to all three, in a fairly quick succession. I felt like the writing improved throughout the series. Dannika has done a good job of growing the characters gradually through the three books. The fantasy world is unique but not so unique that its unbelievable. These books provide an entertaining escape from everyday life. I can't wait for her to release the fourth book.
