Publisher's Summary

Bonus! The Creatus Series Boxed Set now includes the complete five-book series!

For 4000 years, creatus have concealed themselves from the humans who hunted them almost to extinction. Unwittingly, one creatus will endanger them all....

As with most of his family, Derrick Ashton knows his future and what position he's destined to fill within his unique society. Everything changes, however, when he breaks one of his family's strictest laws and falls in love - with a human.

In his quest to protect the woman he can never have, a twist of faith propels him into a new role that will cause dissension among his family and endanger the anonymity that they've spent thousands of years protecting.

Now, he will risk everything to save the girl from humans and his own kind. The one thing he can't save her from, however...is herself.

The Creatus series is not your normal paranormal story...it's a realistic romantic mystery based on the myths you've heard your entire life. Prepare to believe.

    "Surprisingly a great listen"
If you could sum up Creatus Series Boxed Set in three words, what would they be?

    Surprisingly great listen

What was one of the most memorable moments of Creatus Series Boxed Set?

When Matthew was describing Margaret's research and the results.

Have you listened to any of Marcio Catalano’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never heard Marcio Catalano's before, but he has a beautiful voice and portrayed each character with distinction.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book set was too long to listen to all in one setting, but I listened for hours at a time. It kept my interest.

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. I had no idea what Creatus was, but I liked Marcio's voice and decided to try it. I was not disappointed.

    "Decent Storyline, Horrible Amature Narrator"

Was okay. The narrator literally drove me nuts until I quit listening. The writing is okay..... repetitive, off word choice, lacked in grammar.

    Was....okay.

    "AWFUL, just absolutely awful!"

I listened to 23 chapters over 5 days! Not because of lack of time, but because I kept giving up and going back hoping it would get better, you know, like a bad relationship, and like all bad relationships there comes a time when you MUST throw in the towel to save yourself, and LORD help but this book was exactly that!

The narrator was HORRIBLE! from his constant mispronunciation of words like “liberry” for “library” and “liberian” for “librarian” to his loud wet swallowing of his spit, to his voice portrayal of the males (weak no inflection or change to differentiate) to his run on sentences. He read a chapter in one sentence I was confus

    "Interesting twist"

This is a unique idea for all the myths throughout history from vampire to nephlimn to witches and humans. It is missing werewolves but that's ok. There weren't any slow slow parts. At first I was a little bummed that the books went so fast in a story progression it too out what makes a good guy good but also bad. (visa versa with the bad guy having good parts). I can't say it's a romance because any romance happened fast without any satisfying tension. I am glad that there was limited sex scenes because that would have ruined my mental image of each character. I have been looking forward to this book but was too concerned about it based on the "star" reviews. I'm glad I bought it though. It's so much better than the average review.

"A rough start. But worth Listening entirely once."

I thought the idea of the Creatus was excellent… Honestly though, if I Wasn't a little OCD about it least finishing a book that I start. I probably wouldn't have gotten past the first possibly second book because the first book is very confusing. They keep talking about being different having to hide legends and myths but they never really allude to what they are or are what's going on until almost the third book. And there's a lot of things that are just dropped like for instance Christina's friend Beth she supposed to be her best friend she goes out to buy wedding dress with her Chris tells her about being engaged baskets beat up by a Creatus and put in the hospital Chris goes to see her once you never hear anything about Beth's fiancé are her and Chris getting together after she's healed not to mention the fact that Beth is supposed to be Chris's very best friend Chris decides to take and elope while her suppose it best friend is still in a ICU all this is done because it's supposed to be a message to her husband but Beth never apparently questions Christina about any of it I find it hard to believe somebody beats you up enough to put you in ICU to get your best friend's attention and they don't say anything to you about their reasoning so that you can relay the message. And even if that's not an issue there's also the factor that it's her so-called best friend and they don't bother to get together after she gets out of the hospital? I really enjoyed the concept and the personality of a lot of the characters but it was almost like this set of books was written as a companion to another story or something so there's a lot of assumed information or holes for assumptions like when you watch a movie that has gaps unless you've read the book and if you have read the book then it makes sense but if you have not read the book you're standing there scratching your head. that's the feeling that this series gave me but again I really did like the concept. Another problem I had was the narration at first is very monotone I usually don't have any trouble listening to audibles but I found myself, being lulled to sleep at some points it was hard to tell which character was speaking because the voice sounded so similar or was the same I've had other experiences with narrators that were just incredible I would recommend this As a at least once read but if you started I recommend that you at least finish it once because the first couple books are really slow going but it is worth reading at least once.

    "The Narration threw me off...alot"

This book has a decent plot and likable characters but the narration was terrible! It sounded very unprofessional and the narrator was emphasizing the wrong words and adding punctuation where there shouldn't have been any. Add to that, his constant mispronunciation of words (Lyberry instead of Library- is just one of many examples) and I found myself distracted and frustrated. A lot of characters in this book and not enough character development with rushed outcomes.
