Contains all three Coven Enforcer books, historical paranormal romance laced with myth and magic. Dark, dangerous, and above all magical, Luke, Joshua, and Sam roam the Old West meting out Coven justice.
Blood and Magic:
Magic didn't just find Luke Caulfield. It chased him down, bludgeoned him, and has been dogging him ever since. Some lessons are harder than others, but Luke embraces danger, upping the ante to give it one better.
Blood and Sorcery:
Joshua committed his life to fighting Black Magick. Not sure who he hates worse, dark sorcerers or the clerics who tortured and mutilated his family, he lives on the road with his horse and his magic.
Blood and Illusion:
Sam's worked for the Coven as one of their enforcers forever. He's been there so long, the Coven is the only mistress he knows. It's a lonely life on the road thwarting wickedness and Black Magick with his guns, his magic, and his horse, but it's been enough to satisfy him. Until now.
The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review.
This box set is a unique blend of paranormal romance and old-west style adventure. You have witches and mages battling demons, wraiths, possessed wolves and other animals, etc. all while they are trying to tame their little piece of the wild west or are making their way out west.
Of course, each book has its own romance and by the end, the two characters get their HEA. There are lots of very HOT moments (some nearly erotic which, to me, is a bit jarring in a book that is from this time period).
By the end of the third book, it sounds as though the author left it open for potentially more books. If so, I would definitely get them!

Luke Caulfield's magic found him the night he lost part of his family. He is grown how and works as an enforcer for the vovern. He was sent to watch over a witch and the cover leader's daughter.
Abigail Ruskin is a witch stuck with a petulant child on a long trip from n.y. to Utah. She hadn't expected the hot guy sitting in the stagecoach but then evil attacks it's a good thing they have each other.
OMG What an awesome story. It had me sitting at the edge of my seat. And soooooo much mystery with wonderful action. Just when you think you got it all figured out there is a twist in the story and surprise!
I an not much for western or this time frame the story took place. But with that said I Loved this story and can't wait to read the rest of the series it's awesome.
In this book Jashua is one of the covern enforcers and he has loved Breana for over 100 years but she was married so he did nothing. Now that her her evil husband and her daughter is dead Breana is free and so is Jashua but he wanted to give her time to morn before telling her his feelings. At least that was his plan until the dark mage's leader wanted her for his own. Now Jashua will anything to keep her safe and make her his.
WOW got to say Ann Gimpel knows how to tell a tale and keep you guessing! The story is amazing and the characters are so believable and fun. The drama is wild and the spice? Well that is fantastic. If you like witches, magic, westerns or all of the above this us your book!
Sam Jennings is an enforcer for the coven. He and some other enforcers come to the aide of witches who are not part of the coven in San Francisco. It's were he meets Isla who is a spitfire who speaks her mind and can become downright hostile and yet his body wants her followed quickly by his heart.
Now if only they can live long enough to get back to the coven they might work things out. Add to that evil is pouring out of the ground every place they go.
Ann Gimpel is a phenomenal writer the story has mystery, action, and full of twist and turns that will blow your mind. Fantastic characters that are larger then life. I love the mix of magic old country, witch, warlocks and dark. It's awesome.
reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
Great premise (urban fantasy western-style). Luke is a great “cowboy” hero, laconic and masculine. Abigail is a strong heroine with a good (believable, not goody-two-shoes) moral compass. All the unique plot elements, steady pacing, and quality writing I expect from Ann Gimpel. She doesn’t beat you over the head with historical details, just sprinkles them in with everyday activities to bring the setting to life. Although the love scenes are explicit, the couple don’t jump into bed right away. Their romance develops at a steady pace and the sexual tension is built before it’s consummated (plenty of love scenes after that). The wedding ritual was interesting, and I liked how the loose ends of the story were wrapped up and rolled into the next book in the series. The narrator did a decent job with the accents and voices; I always knew who was talking.
I enjoyed this series. These books were a wonderful balance of action and romance. The characters were so interesting and Hollie did a wonderful job bringing them to life. I would highly recommend.
