Summary

Born into light, made to live in darkness, Caressa strives to keep her coven safe from the Hunters, a group of killers trained to eradicate the vampire population.

Now, it's up to Caressa to ensure the survival of not only herself, but her sisters as well. Together they must make difficult decisions to recruit more soldiers to help aid in the fight against the Hunters.

Everything is going according to plan. That is, until Noah walks into Club Blood.

His gorgeous body and infectious smile make him hard to resist. But, that's exactly what Caressa has to do - resist him. Avoid him at all costs because the moment she lets her guard down, he will surely claim her heart. A heart that is cold, dark, and incapable of giving someone like him the love he deserves.

Can Caressa deny herself the love she so desperately craves and turn away the only person capable of giving her everything she has ever wanted? Or will she give in to her heart's true desire and put her coven in even more danger than they already were?

Draws you in!

Paranormal is not my normal listen, but this book by Nicole Garcia caught my eye. She always writes such good stories. What drew me to this particular book was the strong female presence. Caressa is a vampire and is in charge of her coven. There are no longer any male vampires, and she has taken on the responsibility of making sure the coven is safe. No time for feeding or her own needs, the human, Noah walks into her life. Instant attraction...but will he be able to deal with who she is? This story is full of passion and love, family and connections to each other, leaving you hungry for the next in the series.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross dual narrate this book. As always, their performance is stellar and brings you right into the vampire world.

paranormal love

It has been some time since last time I read/listened to a paranormal book. and i had forgotten about the intensity in the "love you eternally.."
some people will say it is abit to much. And it might is. But sometimes the dream of a one true love is just what you need. and this is what you get in this short story. the only problem there is. it is too short. I want more. Guess I have to start the next book in the series.

Hottt!!!

This was an enjoyable read, and you feel the inner turmoil of the main character, as well as fall for her love interest. If you don't you're broken. He is sweet, sassy, and attractive. The narration adds so much to it! I have never heard such passion in an audio book before I heard these two's dual narration. It is deliciously hottt! Just pick up the story, and get Bitten!

Vamped out

Where does Bitten: A Club Blood Erotic Short #1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Bitten is up at the top.I love a good vampire story and this one breaks stereotypes and has some steamy scenes.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how they get their HEA because that was her biggest fear since past experiences with male vamps proved that she'd never get the HEA she wanted.

Have you listened to any of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I love Kai and Wen and listen to anything they do. And just like others they were amazing

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved this book I haven't gone the supernatural route in awhile now I'm impatiently waiting for book 2

Any additional comments?

Short, sweet, and different

Any additional comments?

This book was well balanced with the story of the relationships and of being a vampire. It would have been a story even without the vampire aspect and I suspect it's set up for more to come. Overall, an enjoyable and entertaining read/listen. The narrators did a good job. I look forward to hearing more from both author and narrators.

Very different vampire story

What did you love best about Bitten: A Club Blood Erotic Short #1?

The story was much different than the typical vampire story...which I don't care for. Carissa was certainly not your typical vampire as she craved the human emotion of love and would go to the extreme of biting a human that she loved so he would be with her forever. Between the love story and the scenes in the secret nightclub, I thought that this was a great story.

Which character – as performed by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross – was your favorite?

I really liked Noah. Aside from one outburst immediately after being converted to a vampire, he was a very nice and caring partner for Carissa. As for Kai' s voice as Noah, well, I can understand how the ladies would swoon! I also liked Wen' s portrayal of Carissa.

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed Nicole Garcia's work and had previously read this story in e-book format and Enjoyed it. But add in the talent of these two narrators to some great writing and it made for a great listening experience.

Something different

The story was interesting and so were the voices that brought the characters to life. I loved the male's voice. I could listen to him all day. There was something about the woman's voice that didn't sit right with me. All in all, it was a dang good story. I did find myself wanting more.

Loved it!

Great, fast read! I've always been a fan of Nicole's writing, and this one did not disappoint.

Caressa is doing what she can to provide for herself and her vampire sisters after Hunters have taken out most of their kind. So she and her sisters open up Club Blood. An underground club for the humans to drink and party, and the vampires to have a source of food, with no killing. Noah arrives to make a delivery one night and Noah and Caressa are drawn to one another.

One of my favorites is the klutzy moments Noah has, especially the scene when he makes his delivery.

Now I just hope that there is a future book with Gia and Rhett.

Kai & Wen do I a fantastic job with the narration. Can't wait to listen to more of these two!
