Summary
Theatrical agent Payton Gowan meets with former classmate - and prospective client - Beckett Huntington, with every intention of brushing him off. Beckett not only made high school a living hell for Payton, but he was also responsible for dashing Payton's dreams of becoming a Broadway star.
Aspiring actor Beckett Huntington arrives in New York City on a wing and a prayer, struggling to land his first gig. He knows scoring Payton Gowan as an agent would be a great way to get his foot in the door, but with their history, getting the chance is going to be a tough sell.
Against Payton's better judgment, he agrees to give Beckett a chance, only to discover - to his amazement - that Beckett actually does have talent.
Payton signs Beckett but can't trust him - until Payton's best friend, Val, is attacked. When Beckett is there for him, Payton begins to see another side to his former bully. Amidst attempts by a jealous agent to sabotage Beckett's career and tear apart their blossoming love, Payton and Beckett must learn to let go of the past if they have any chance at playing out a future together.

Another winner by Andrew Grey!
When I initially started this novel, I wasn't sure it would be my kind of liking however, I continued and boy am I glad I did! The story was one that, as usual with Andrew Grey, kept my attention to the extent that it was difficult to take a break from. I am now having to use Audible more and more, which is a tremendous help. I have a degenerative spinal injury resulting from a very bad skiing accident. I was advised that things would over time become increasingly bad, and now I am having great difficulty holding my Kindle for even a short period of time. Being able to 'shuffle of to Buffalo' taking the novel with me, using my headset and placing the Kindle behind me is great, as I don't miss any of the book's I happen to be reading. 'Between Loathing and Love', has been a book which I couldn't stop listening to. The story is so romantic with the two main characters who had crossed paths again after being at school together, which wasn't a bed a bed of roses by any means, and another character who was embedded in the story. Eventually everything worked out in the end and I was hoping that there would be a sequel, but was disappointed as there was no mention of one at the end. Hopefully Andrew will read this and decide to write a continuation of the lives of the characters, PLEASE Andrew!!!!!! Well done on a superb novel and I look forward to listening to my next. As for Peyton, Kendall and Val, I in all sincerity hope that a follow-up on Audible won't be too long in arriving.

Not one of Andrew Grey’s best
I’ve listened to many of Andrew Grey’s novels on Audible but I didn’t really enjoy this one at all.
The storyline seemed weak and cliched.
It won’t put me off listening to more as he’s one of my favourite authors along with Riley Hart.
