Summary

Welcome to my life as an intergalactic mail order bride.

Welcome to hell.

I just traveled halfway across the galaxy to meet my new husband.

With no women left on Auxem, he should know how to appreciate a lady.

Especially me, a lady from Earth!

He knows how lucky he has to have me. He knows how far I've come.

So why is he acting like such a complete jerk?

I know he's used to getting what he wants, but underneath his confident, chiseled exterior, he's hiding a big secret.

He barely speaks to me.

Now we're stranded together on a remote planet.

He's got a perfect body.

I hope he knows how to use it.

Great Lisa Lace Compilation

First, this is NOT a single 26.5 hour story. Here's what you get:

1- Auxem Book 2 (complete)- Ayrie-- Kelly Morgan/Paul Brion approx 4.5H
2- Auxem Book 3 (Ch 01 teaser)- Anders-- Connor Brown/Piper Fairweather 30 min
3- Auxem Book 1/TerraMates Book 13 (complete)- Auxem-- Faith Clark/Logan McAlistar 5H
4-TerraMates Book 3 (complete)-Water World Confidential--Terrance Bayes/K. Morgan 5.5H
5- TerraMates Book 4 (complete)-Alpha's Enslaved Bride--Kelly Owens/Peter Verbena 5.4H
6- TerraMates Book 5 (complete)-Auctioned to the Alpha--Samantha Leatherwood 5.4H

Lisa Lace writes sci-fi romances that are fun and packed with action and drama but that don't take a huge time commitment for each installment. They are all well-written and entertaining. The narrators change from book to book, so if you don't care for one, try another. They can all be listened to as stand-alones, but if you are a series purist, you may want to listen to them like this:

Track 48-TM3
Track 70-TM4
Track 90-TM5
Track 26-Aux1
Track 01-Aux2
Track 25-Aux3 teaser

Hope this is helpful. My opinion is that both these series are definitely worth listening to. If you're on the fence, this compilation is a perfect way to sample 5 complete shorts and a teaser chapter for one credit.

Where to Begin...

Okay.. this "book" was just totally insane. The description, as posted in other reviews, is VERY misleading!! This is not one long book. It is FIVE books total. I've included a breakdown of the chapters for each book below.

As for the initial book itself, before I even purchased this audiobook, I went to Lisa Lace's website to view the series and make sure it was a standalone since the title states it's part of a series but there is no book number. There is no numerical value or suggested reading order that is easily seen either on her website or on Audible. So I purchased it. Where the book begins feels like it's in the middle of the story. I can only assume, not having read or listened to any of the other Auxem books, that the first half of this story is included in one or more of the other books previously published. Very, very disappointing listen.

Also, the female narrator for the first two books in this "collection" is difficult to listen to. I find her voice to be very grating. As for the "collection" itself, it doesn't make sense to me at all. First is a novel that isn't a standalone, second is book 13 followed by books 3-5 of a different series. I get the series tie together because the entirety of Lisa Lace's writing seems centered on the idea around TerraMates, but I listened to the first couple of books for that series and was unimpressed. I was hoping to give this author another chance with a different series but am sadly disappointed.

I have given only one written review before this in the several years I've been listening to Audible. This book was so misleading I felt the need to actually write a review versus just giving star ratings, which I do for all books.

Here is the breakdown:

Ayrie: An Auxem Novel
Ch 1 - Ch 25

Auxem: TerraMates Book 13
Ch 26 - Ch 47

Waterworld Confidential: TerraMates Book 3
Ch 48 - Ch 69

Alpha's Enslaved Bride: TerraMates Book 4
Ch 70 - Ch 90

Auctioned to the Alpha: TerraMates Book 5
Ch 91 - Ch 123 {end}

The summary is very deceiving!

This is actually several books in one. The first 2 were painful to listen to because of both the stories and the narrations. The stories we're juvenile at best, and the narrators even managed to sound bored through the sexy bits. The last 2 stories we're better. They had a bit more meat to them and the narrators were much more enjoyable to listen to. I wouldn't recommend wasting a credit on it though.

don't let the length fool you

I bought this because it says that it's 26hr long. I thought it be getting my money's worth. I'm essence I finished listening to the book in a day. so really it was a novella with the beginning of books attached to it to make the length longer then the 3 to four hours the actually book is.

Give love a chance

Another great book about the aliens of Auxem. I loved the book about Arnon and was glad there is more about the Auxem. This book and the first book about Auxem were two of my favorites. I was also glad to see some old friends . Nathaniel and Ashlyn from Water World which was another of my favorites. I like the link up. I look forward to listening to the next book about Auxem. In this book the brother Ayrie is married but cannot fully commit. He is afraid to love because of what happened to his father. El does love him but wants more than than what he feels he can give her. Will she be able to change his mind or will he just let her slip away because of his fear. This is must read in the Auxem series.

Narration stank!

What would have made Ayrie better?

Didnt enjoy it. It was far shorter than was lead to believe. I will not be listening to the rest of the book in fact I WANT TO RETURN IT.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion ’s performances?

Kelly stank would have preferred Paul to narrate the entire story.

A steamy Romance starring a wingad alien stud.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend it to any friend who wanted more than a clean and sweet romance. It goes beyond that to provide a lot of heat.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favourite is Ayrie. He is a good guy trying to do the right thing for this earth girl even if he does not think much of himself.

Have you listened to any of Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am not sure but they do a great job on this book.

Any additional comments?

This is another great addition to the Terra-mates alien romances series. Another enjoyable book by this author.

The description is incorrect.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The story was was well written, however it is more than one book, which was not included in the narrative description. I was looking for a long book for a trip. It did the job, but I was not what I was looking for.

Have you listened to any of Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

N/a

What would have made this romance irresistible?

N/A

Ayrie by Lisa Lace

Where does Ayrie rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ayrie is one of my favorites in this series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ayrie?

When Ayrie and Elle hit the water after Ayrie's exhaustion and Elle saves them both with her lifeguard swimming skills.

Which character – as performed by Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion – was your favorite?

Elle is my favorite character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Elle takes a swim and then a nap alone on the beach while Ayrie leaves at the shelter they found on the island so he can go up on the mountaintop to signal for help. Then he comes back and can't find her. He panics. It was quite touching.

Any additional comments?

I really liked Ayrie and Elle's story. They got off to a rocky start, neither sure of their own feelings much less the other's, and both agreeing to the match for reasons other than wanting to fall in love. Despite this, feelings of love do begin to develop between them and when they find themselves depending on each other to stay alive the love between them shines through. AYRIE is the second book in Lisa Lace's newest series, Auxem. It's also essentially the fifteenth book in her TerraMates series. However, this book is a stand-alone, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending!

Ayrie being the second of the five princes of Auxem it was not important for him to choose a bride from the women volunteering to come to help his planet, but there was something about Elle's vulnerability he could not ignore. The fact that she was the sexiest and most beautiful woman he'd ever seen made her practically irresistible. Likewise, Elle didn't want to fall in love with her husband, but Ayrie was gorgeous and she was drawn to his confidence, good looks, and hard well-built body. The fact that they both agreed to a marriage of convenience... in name only... well, it wasn't really working out for either of them. Everyone else could see how much they cared for each other, but denial, denial, denial, lol.

As always there is action, danger, and romance between and independent earth woman and a sexy alien. This time he's a prince! Super story! I enjoyed the narration provided by Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion. Each did a great job of illustrating each characters individual voices and personality. 4 stars

~Complimentary audiobook received. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

A snoozer

OMG! This is the 2nd book today I did not enjoy. What is going g on here. The first 2 books I read it was fantastic, butnit is a struggle to read this book and the other alien book before this one. This is not doing audio book justice. The narrator So did not carry this story. T he female Narrator was so dry and depressing without personality that it was hard to imagine the scene and how the characters felt about each other. There was no excitement in her voice and no chemistry and no heat between them. This is not selling me on the audio book idea.
