Publisher's Summary

Nancy Scanlon continues the time-bending saga she began with The Winter Laird, pulling heroes and villains alike through the portals of time to help save their futures and find their truest loves.

A time travel accident has left Aidan MacWilliam, younger brother of a medieval Irish laird, trapped in the future. Though he's become a successful entrepreneur in the 21st century, Aidan still can't banish thoughts of the world he left behind. In search of distraction, he heads to New York to scout a PR person for his cousin's matchmaking firm, Celtic Connections.

Emmaline Perkins might be the perfect candidate. A PR expert and closet medievalist, Emma has always put work before her social life. When a breathtakingly handsome man who looks like he stepped straight out of the Middle Ages proposes business, she struggles to keep her professional and personal lives separate. Then Emma's ex-fiancé resurfaces, threatening Emma's livelihood, her home, and ultimately her safety.

Aidan jumps to protect her, and not just because she's good for business. He feels a primal need to defend the alluring young woman. But the question is not where she'll be safe - but when.

    "Great Story!"

Love the story and characters. Good story line. Funny in places, yet can be an emotional sequence in there.

    "An emotional follow up"

This was the sequel to the winter laird an lets just say it was excellent. If you are looking for a book with steamy "scenes" this isn't the book for you. This book is about a great romance that stands the test of time travel. This listen is worth a credit. I wanted to cry at the end and I usually want to listen to "steamy" books. So this was a go for me

"Can characters be a bit more human???"
What did you like best about An Enchanted Spring? What did you like least?

Too rich, too perfect in physical attributes. Men are so suave and charming railroading the obviously damaged female into taking their "protection" while she is having no say in her own destiny. That works better for historical romance, but can't see modern women not having more of a voice. And, of course, there was the dual personality thing going on with Aiden. What woman would be able to trust once the charm took on a darker tone, especially Emma, as she just had a previous relationship turn very dark on her.

Would you be willing to try another book from Nancy Scanlon? Why or why not?

Yes, would like to hear more about Reilly, he seems to have a bit more common sense at least I hope he would still be portrayed that way.

Which character – as performed by Jane Jacobs – was your favorite?

    Reilly

    Any additional comments?

The ending is so abrupt and the Emma is so happy to see the guy that made her life a living hell during the time travel sequence, I would have liked to see her happy to see him, but less pliable, as in, "What were you thinking?" If he had enough forethought and feeling to know how he felt before the time travel, it seems he could have done a better job handling his emotions without walking all over Erin. From a modern standpoint, she should have ripped him a new one, before having the HEA.

    "NO ROMANCE TO MUCH ANGST!!"
What would have made An Enchanted Spring better?

More Mature writing and a Bit of Romance. Some love scenes something.

What could Nancy Scanlon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Take Out all The Angst between the H/H Why They couldn't stay together in the past or the future

    Which scene was your favorite?

    NONE

What character would you cut from An Enchanted Spring?

    NONE

    Any additional comments?

An Enchanted Spring is the story of Aidan MacWilliam's who we meet in bk.1 The Winter Laird. In The Winter Laird Nicolas MacWilliams sent is brother Aiden on a mission which lands him 500 years into the future. There in the future Aidan becomes a very successful billionaire he has done very well in the 8 years he has been gone from his brother and Clan.
Aiden is asked to interview Emmaline/Emma Perkins of a PR firm Price Publicity. Emma's ex finance is suppose to be in Prison for Assault on a bouncer. Matthew MacDemott is a stalker sexual predator and somehow gets released from prison and stalks and tries to kill Emma and Aidan. He thinks of Emma as a positions. After many attempts to kill her and Aidan and scare her into submission. Aidan takes Emma with the help of the Time Travel Protector Reilly O'Malley back in time to Aidan's Clan and his brother Nicolas.

This is more a Adventure type story then an Romance. There is no loving making its a very "Clean Read" just a few kisses. There is no real Romance at all. The Angst between the H/H makes no sense and goes on until the end of the book. Sorry!! I can't Recommend this series to lover of Time Travel Romance Stories. Its written on the level for young Teens!!

    "Enchanting...."

I cried.... a lot. But I smiled too.
Well written and performed. A backwards bent to the time travel but it worked. More of a modern day story though. No sex but true chemistry. It was 'the whole package' and worth the credit.

    "Great Listen!"

Great story! I read the reviews on this before buying so was attentive to the narrator. She did a fairly good job. Some of the voices were difficult to distinguish between (just 1 or two of the Irish male characters - it's read by a woman). IT didn't pull y attention from the story though. I couldn't stop listening.

I DO WISH Audible Studios would cast Both a male and female so the male actor does the male voices and female does the female voices. I don't care HOW GOOD a narrator is, you can always tell when a man is trying to do female voices and vice versa and it takes away from the story. So many people would get into audiobooks (more than presently listen) if there were more realistic voices. Sales would likely skyrocket. ESPECIALLY if both actors were promoted using a special word to identify multiple actors. Audible- it would seriously make a difference!!
