Good!
Took a while to get into the fact that the narration switches between characters. I loved the character of Honour, and the relationship between her and her son.

Twists and turns and thoroughly delightful
Really loved listening to this book.
It kept me fully engrossed and I couldn't wait for the next page. It's somewhat predictable, but is also fun, true to life and entertaining. Well woirth a listen.

Lovely story brilliantly read.
I simply love this story and it is made even better by the reader Jilly Bond. A lovely story of a typical bachelor falling for a common showgirl who has a fabulous figure and face and has made herself what she is. But the very kind and caring girl who will do anything for anyone then appears and slowly but surely he finds out how lovely she is. A pushy mother helps too as do the other wife/husband swapping characters who are very well described. Well worth a listen, I now need to find other books with Jilly Bond reading. Victoria Henry is a good storyteller.

This was bettert than some others
I quite enjoyed this book, but I have just returned The Birthday Party which I absolutely didn't enjoy. The characters here are fun, but in the BP they were shallow, uninteresting and silly. I hope I can find another of her books I like but shall pick with care.

It was ok
Not my normal thing but it was ok as background.
The stories were ok. Nothing special. Nothing gripping. Just nice casual background.
Good thing that it did not end exactly as predicted in chapter 1 (as 99% of this style of books do) but the ending was obvious very early of course.
