    "Not great"
Would you try another book written by Veronica Henry or narrated by Anna Bentinck?

I love Anna Bent ink and I have specifically search for books narrated by her. I have thoroughly enjoyed other veronica Henry books but this one lacked something.

What was most disappointing about Veronica Henry’s story?

I think it was the momentum of the story.

Would you be willing to try another one of Anna Bentinck’s performances?

Think I've listened to most of them as I love the character voices she uses.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Night on the Orient Express?

It was just lacking something for me.

    "Very enjoyable, easy listening."

I really enjoyed this book, the writing was very good, moving seamlessly from character to character. The story lines where strong and held detailed information of each person involved.
    Beautifully narrated, defiantly recommend.

    "Summertime chick lit"

The way that Veronica Henry brings together several stories portrayed in one venue always makes me enjoy her writing. It's lighthearted brain fluff and just what I need after a few heavy titles. Satisfying endings too. Perfect summertime listening.

"It was escapism. Overall I mostly got what I expected"

Made me want to travel on the Orient Express before I die. Loved the description of the travel. Very well narrated. Storylines not quite as good as The Long Weekend. But overall a chic lit story that I could escape into. A bit sugary & lack of depth as the 1st one I read. But I was happy enough with it.

    Story
"For anyone who has travelled to Venice by train"

this is probably a must. Whether you have been on the plush Orient Express of this story - or the Venice Express that I travelled on to Venice on a number of occasions in the early 19980's - this is a journey that will stay with you forever. Just sit back and relive those times - and don't worry too much that this story doesn't deliver quite the quality you had hoped. The threads of the story are interesting and it's quite well read (although Stephanie and Emmie were I thought made to sound rather more 'down market' than necessary!) - but for sheer easy listening it takes a lot of beating. And I defy anyone not to have shed just a tear over Archie!

    "Lovely way to escape"

I wanted a book that would be an easy and enjoyable listen that I could lose myself in while travelling to work. This definitely fitted the bill. I loved the different stories and the narrator brought them to life beautifully.

It made me want to travel on the Oriwnt Express.

I would recommend as a good holiday read.

    "A peach of a book"

If you are feeling blue and needing reminding that life is good, listen to this delightful story. The tale is lovely, simple and charming. I love Veronica Henry's honest narrative without the contrived plots that often mar a good story. The writing is crisp, good, and conveys massive emotions without ever falling into the glib or schmaltzy. Good ending.Nothing added for effect. I was left with a lovely feeling of having spent time with friends and
    so glad they were alright!!!
    The narrator is superb.
    Look for THE LONG WEEKEND.

    "Ahh, Venice..."

I enjoyed this book even though I found several of the characters mildly or very annoying. Eventually I quite enjoyed being mildly annoyed. I enjoyed the setting of the Orient Express (I hope Ms Henry received compensation for her product placement.) A pleasant way to while away a few hours. Anna Bentinck did an excellent narration.
