Publisher's Summary

And on the sixth day, God created man.

Adam is the first human being all alone in the Garden of Eden. He has everything he needs, but he sure is lonely.

One morning he awakens to find his body flayed open. Could it be kidney thieves? No, God has stolen a rib to make him a companion. Why he couldn't have just made Eve out of dirt like Adam was, is beyond him. Adam and Eve are living in relative peace in Paradise until trouble comes to the Garden in the form of a snake. He convinces Eve to eat the Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, and she convinces Adam to do the same. This makes God very angry, and he banishes them to the desert to fend for themselves.

Why are they suddenly knowing things they shouldn't? Why are twigs sprouting out from their body? How did their goat learn the words to all these Phil Collins songs?

Follow me, as we journey together through one man's complete misunderstanding of the Book of Genesis.

".A real joy from start to finish"

Lets start with David S. Dear ,his voice is so wonderfully engaging that I found myself smiling just listening to the story that we have heard 100 times before but never from Adam's POV and never this utterly hilarious.I listened to the book in the car and nearly choked on many occasions as I tried to stifle the compulsion to laugh out loud trying to avoid the other depressed Dublin commuters thinking that I had lost it.
This book should be compulsory listening for everyone tired of hearing about economic doom and gloom in the media. It is funny and inspirational. Highly recommended.Marc Richard knows how to write a comedy and a brave guy for doing it on this topic.Great entertainment.I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. As always this is my honest opinion .

I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a difficult book to rate. I found bits and pieces funny but it was just this dichotomy of modern technology and ideas in the Garden of Eden and other Bible stories. i really struggled to get my head around it.

    "Cute, worth the read"
    Any additional comments?

A is for Adam by Marc Richard is an audio book I requested and the review is voluntary. It is clever and snarky, it may offend those that don't have a humorous bone, and it really isn't a LOL story. It is a snicker here, a smirk there, a smile, a giggle, a moan, and so one. A cute story that really doesn't go anywhere but cute anyway. Worthy of a read and the narration was just right for this book.

"Lmao funny! Adam and Eve in a new light!"

Get ready to laugh your back end off. This was hilarious! The view of the start of life in the garden of eden from Adam's view in this comedic romp is great. From how to name everything to the creation amid Adams little "Riblet" eve. The author and narrator deliver a wonderful escape from reality. "Cute new take on Genesis."

This is a cute, humorous sarcastic take on the story of Genesis. Adam is the first person on earth, wakes up with a missing rib. He's just glad someone didnt steal his kidney. Lots of snark and humor follow. The character descriptions are hilarious, and some of the events are just a wee bit different than described in the bible. A fun story for the irreverent, and worth a listen.

"A hilarious and funny short story!"

a lot of fun references, my favorite being the twilight episode about the glasses and books, Phil Collins and other multiple funny references. The plot was cute, and since we all l n ow who Adam and Eve are there was no need to flesh them out, but Marc still showed personalities in all the characters, some to fit the biblical scenarios, others were just funny. I love this author's books!

"A Quirky,Somewhat Dark, Irreverent Look at Adam"

A is for Adam is a quirky, somewhat dark, irreverent look at the Biblical story of Adam. Just imagine the story of creation as if it were happening in today’s world. Adam is faced with not only a naïve view but partnered with a not so naive Eve. Remember this book was written to be entertaining, so do not overthink it. Enjoy the read.

Note: When selecting books to read or listen to for reviews I try and select authors and stories that interest me. Sometimes I am fortunate and other times not so fortunate. Either way, I try to review the books with integrity.

    "Funny and sarcastic religious humor"

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An interestingly sarcastic and humorous take on the Adam and Eve story in the book of Genesis. As long as you're not easily offended by religious humor, you will probably find this funny. If you DO find religious humor offensive, stay away.

As a side note, the narrator was quite good too. All in all, I enjoyed this short story.

    "The Truth about Apples"

Author Marc Richards has created a delightful bit of silliness which is sure to offend all who take literally the biblical story of creation. The narration adds just the right notes of whimsy to the vocalizations of the absurdities expressed. Funny and fun!
