My first Rachel Hore and certainly not my last

I bought this audio book as part of Audible's Daily Deal. I won't recap the plot as I'm sure many will have done so before me but I was thoroughly drawn in to both the past and present story lines and the characters with their cleverly interwoven lives. The author neatly tied up all of the loose threads at the end which is always very satisfying.
The narration was also excellent.
Highly recommended.

Loved this book, narration is excellent and the story line fascinating, not what I expected but loved it immensely, quite inspiring too

Good title once you know!

Fascinating way to understand more of the inner pain cost and joys and the levelling of war and life trials

em...

Interesting enough and well read but what a horrible and unrealistic story! Quite tragic and really not believable of a mother.. didn't want to listen on but just wanted to finish. Not a feel good story!

excellent listening

the length nearly put me off this , but the reviews were good so I gave it a try.
In actual fact I completed this brilliant story much quicker than many of the shorter books I've listened too.
Well worth listening to and the narrator is excellent

Really enjoyed this. but ...

A well researched book which I thoroughly enjoyed. Guessing the ending half way through did detract from the story a little for me though. I will seek out more by this author. Excellent narration.
