Summary

Burning alive is nothing compared to the heat of his touch. There are better ways to break up with a girl than having her roasted at the stake as a witch. Is it any wonder Ysabel has trust issues? She got her revenge, though, and it cost her only a slightly tarnished soul. Working for Lucifer isn't all bad until her ex-boyfriend escapes the bowels of hell, and she's forced to team up with a womanizing demon to fetch the jerk back.

As a minion in Lucifer's legion, Remy's seen a lot of things, but nothing can prepare him for the witch with the acerbic tongue - and voluptuous figure. The more she pushes him away, the more determined he becomes to seduce her. However, what's a poor demon to do when he accidentally falls in love and wants to keep her forever?

Welcome to hell, where you're screwed if you do and damned if don't. And just so you know, Lucifer has a special spot reserved for you....

Awesome Story and Performance! Lots of Laughs!

Who Knew Going To Hell Could Be So Funny!

Wow! This was such a treat! When I first started listening, I wasn't sure what to expect, but was surprised, and highly entertained by all the snarky, sassy, and witty dialogue between the two main characters. Eve Langlais did an amazing job creating a plot about hell, demons, and Lucifer, and turning it into fun story that was truly unique, hilarious, and sexy. The characters were outlandish, and had me laughing hard! I'm definitely continuing this series!

Mindy Kennedy narration was spot-on. She really delivered all the snarky, sassy, and sarcastic dialogue flawlessly. I liked how she portrayed the characters and the different emotions. Her performance ROCKED! Kudos!

After being betrayed and burned at the stake, Ysabel makes a deal with Lucifer to get revenge for those who played a part in her death. While she maybe spending her eternity in hell, she can at least take comfort in knowing those who played a part in her demise are down there as well. Part of her deal with Lucifer is to spend 500 years in his service, and her time almost up; however, Lucifer has some really bad new for Ysabel. In order for her "contract" to be fulfilled, she must retrieve the souls who have escaped and return them back to hell. Because these souls are the ones who betrayed Ysabel, she will suffer her curse until they are return. Lucifer's knows she's going to need help locating these escaped souls, and he assigns Remy, a true womanizer, to assist her (but he secretly he has an alternative motive for paring these two). Needless to say, these two do not hit it off when they first meet. Remy and Ysabel were HILARIOUS, I loved listening to their snarky banter, and how they tried to resist their feelings for each other.

I really enjoyed this story, and while it was short it had it all! Humor, steamy sex, flirty banter, action and a plot! Recommend for any PNR fan!

Lucifer is such a match maker

What made the experience of listening to A Demon and His Witch the most enjoyable?

Loving the fun side of Lucifer. Ysabel who was burned as a witch and Remy a demon from hell who works for Lucifer must find some souls that have escaped and must be returned or poor Ysabel will burn again every night with it extending 1 minute each night until they are all returned to hell. This was such and interesting way to feature Lucifer as a hilarious evil match maker.

What other book might you compare A Demon and His Witch to and why?

This is a book all on it own Can not wait to listen to the rest of this series.

What about Mindy Kennedy’s performance did you like?

Mindy did an awesome job of the voices and tone for this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh out loud A LOT! listened at work and everyone kept trying to interrupt me to see what I was listening too,

Any additional comments?

Eve's books are so entertaining and such fun to either read or listen too, She has such a vivid imagination.

Everyone Must Read: Delightful and Funny

I stumbled unto a new author (for me) Ms. Langlais. Her writing style is exactly what I crave--hilarious, well-written plots and characters. Granted, this particular series is different only in location but love does happen anywhere and everywhere...so why not in hell? The main character is full of self-doubts and has major trust issues. However, you cannot help but fall in love with the dirty-talking demon who is tasked to assist her. Their banter is fresh and laugh-out-loud funny. Even the 'Prince of Darkness' is rather likable in this delightful series. And two thumbs up for Mindy Kennedy--the narration is great too. I highly recommend and so worth a credit.

Funny

This was a funny book. I found myself laughing out loud at a few parts. There is nothing serious about Satan or other demons and witches but just a light headed tale.

Fair warning that you will laugh out loud at the sparks between this hunky demon and witch with trust issues. I look forward to continuing this series. Mindy Kennedy was outstanding!

Great book and great narration

I love Eve Langlais and this book did not disappoint.
Mindy Kennedy is one of the better narrators- she’s so expressive that she pulls you right into the story. She reads smoothly, you can tell she’s comfortable with the characters.
There are some adult situations, so if sex bothers you just fast forward past - it’s a love story at its core. I highly recommend.

My witch

This book was fantastic. It was full of action, very humorous. I look forward to more in this series, The Devil playing match maker. Of he has a motive. The narrator was great.

Cute love story

Enjoyed the playful/threatening banter between the main characters because it was pretty obvious they lusted after one another, for all Isabelle’s constant “I can’t fall in love with him. He’ll just use me and throw me away” talk.
An enjoyable afternoon listen.

Audible breath intake

If the narrator’s audible intake of breath bothers you, then this recording will drive you nuts. As much fun as the story was, it’s much too distracting and annoying. I won’t be listening further.
