Summary

Die fliehende Grande Armée zieht eine Spur aus Blut, Hunger, Verwüstung und Krankheit durch das Land.

Auch die junge Henriette, die nach Leipzig ging, um Verwundeten zu helfen, muss die Stadt verlassen und Hals über Kopf heiraten, um zu überleben. Als in Wien endlich Frieden geschlossen wird, ist Europa neu geordnet - und auch Henriette muss sich entscheiden, wie sie leben will.
