And those men don't tend to talk about the typical symptoms or visit their doctors. Meet Tim. For nearly a decade, he kept his depression secret; it made him feel so weak and shameful, he thought it would destroy his whole life if anyone found out. And Tim is not alone.

Summary
This book won't change your life, but it might just help you change it yourself.
Only you can take the steps you need to help yourself become the strong, independent, fearless person you dream of being. It took me a long time - and a lot of real lows, excruciating heartaches and countless mistakes - to get there. The sole purpose of this book's existence is the hope that it may speed up that journey to happiness for you.
In Feel Good 101, YouTube's most outspoken star, Emma Blackery, is finally (over)sharing all her hard-learned life lessons. From standing up to bullies and bad bosses to embracing body confidence and making peace with her brain, Emma speaks with her trademark honesty about the issues she's faced - including her struggles with anxiety and depression. This is the book Emma wishes she'd had growing up...and she's written it for you.
Includes an exclusive interview with Holly Bourne, author of Am I Normal Yet? and What's A Girl Gotta Do?

Changed my life
Emma, you are an amazing human being, this book, is the epitome of that.
Your blunt and brutal honesty about the way you have been, how you changed for the better and experiences with mental health, really opened my eyes.
This sounds cliché but I feel as if I must say this, every chapter changed something in my life for the better.
From improving my self confidence and dampening my self hatred, to motivating me to be a better person, this book inspired me with every word.
This is a must read for all adolescents, young adults and even older people having a hard time. It will really get you back up on your feet and make you a better person.
Thank you Emma. <3

A fantastic read.
I have been a fan of Emma's for around about a year now. Since I first heard of the book I've had high expectations. Emma did not disappoint. Her self awareness and her ability to reflect on past experiences and take something away from her experiences was extremely helpful and thought-provoking. Emma's humour added relief when talking about some of the more sensitive topics and I really felt everything was handled just right. I'm extremely thankful for a book and an author that isn't afraid to tackle the hard subjects and it really helped to know that many of the things I have struggled with, Emma has too. I would definitely recommend to others, i think everybody can find something useful to take away from it.

Not great
I bought this book as a fan of emma blackerys youtube channel. However, as someone in my 20s I found this book rather boring. It's not an interesting story about emma, it doesnt flow smoothly its juttery in timeline and she repeats herself. she throws in dated phrases such as 'yolo" and swear words to try and be cool or down with the kids. It's effectively a book that tells tweens to do your homework and respect your parents. im not even joking thats actual quotes. I wouldn't reccomemd anyone beyond 13 to read this- you will zone out through multiple chapters where shes giving advice to you as if your a child and in the end wont have learned anything more about her than if you've watched her youtube videos.

as a fan of Emma's I'm glad I finally got round to listening to this book.
I like how Emma's personality and sense of humour shone through with the great advice and I liked the interview at the end.
on a more personal note as someone who identifies as Demisexual it was really nice that the Asexual spectrum was acknowledged with a demonstration of understanding how annoying the phase "you just haven't met the right person" is

Perfect
This book is so relatable, even though I don't go to school anymore, and I don't think I'm going to do another course at college. It has been relatable to my past, my life, and I'm sure it is relatable to others as well!!
I don't like speaking too soon, but I'm buying a new camera this year, and it was primarily to start recording music videos for a friend, but it's similar to the camera I've always wanted, so I'm going to be pretty sorted with it, this means I can go back to vlogging after a long long time, braise this book has motivated me so much!

Part Autobiography, Part Advice Book
It's really a bit of both, and quite good as each. It does cover some heavier topics, and there's a mild amount of swearing, but I'd really recommend this book to a very wide range of readers. From the 13-14 year old who's just now growing into, dealing with, and learning about some of the topics this book goes over all to the 40-50's parents who could use a bit of insight and understanding to the stages of life their children may be going through.
Quite a good listen, I'll certainly be going back over it again.
