Summary

It was supposed to be a night of mind-blowing sex - a night without strings or traps - and nothing more. But somewhere along the way, both Gideon Romanov and Gianna Ellington found more than just unbridled passion in each other's arms. Now, neither knows how to escape the trap without causing the other more pain.

With their fates intertwined and written long before their births, Gideon and Gianna must decide what is most important in their lives and fight for what they want.

Even if it means breaking the bonds of love and loyalty that have bound their hearts and fates together.

For mature listeners only due to graphic language and sexual situations.

Very enjoyable book

Loved the whole serie. Enjoyed the story and characters. This book is a great continuation of the previous 3 books. The narrator did a great job.

Volume 4

The characters are so developed and have such strong personalities that you really feel like you know who they are! I love the style of the storyline, weaving multiple stories together.

Another great book!

I have listened to and enjoyed every book in this series. I love being introduced to characters in one book and then getting to know them better in the next book. This is a series that must be listened to in order. There is not a lot of background information from the previous books in each subsequent book.

The narrator of this book is so talented. The accents are distinct and authentic.

I'll definitely look for more from this author and narrator in the future.

Great continuation

It took me a not to get used to a new narrator but once I did I enjoyed it just as much as the others. Great series. Love Gideon and Gianna

Kept me wanting more

This is the 4th in the series, and if you didn't start at the beginning.... go and get them all! :) There is a new narrator for this one that does a great job with accents. It makes it a lot easier to follow the characters when the scenes change. I loved Gianna's accent! It was a perfect Pixie Princess attitude and tone. She and Gideon went back and forth with their romance, but ended happily ever after. Now I can't wait to find out what happens the the other characters! Especially Ben & Ariel!

Kind of miss old narrator

this one was good but I was accustomed to the original. This book didn't spend as much time on the MC's as she could have, but with so many sub plots and other couples vying for attention it would need to be twice the size to do everything justice. So far it's been a great series. I am just about to start on Bonded the next book, but I will have to read the old fashioned way as it is not on Audible yet

Uniquely Familiar

The story of Gideon and Gianna is one that is familiar to all who have been in love. How does one determine if the person they are with, is a partner for life or a passing fling? This is the age old question that must be answered.

While I found the main storyline of Gideon and Gianna enjoyable. The side stories involving Ben, Boon and Knox were confusing and did little to add value to the plot. However, these could be the cameo appearances that the long-term Nightshade fans could appreciate. I have not read nor listened to the other previous three books, therefore, this is a warning for others such as myself who jump in on book 4.

The narration was done very well and drew me into the Nightshade Saga. It brought Brenda Tetreault's novel to life and made me eager to go listen to her other works.

Wonderful book to listen to! Can’t wait to hear more!

Interesting book! I wish I had been able to listen to books 1-3 first, but despite coming into the series Later I enjoyed the story line and characters. The details and story were captivating. Loved the narration, especially how everyone had a different feel, be it gritty, soft, classy or stern. Every character was brought to life with their own texture and tone by the amazing A. Faye Hughes.... I would definitely recommend Fated, though I suggest you listen to books 1-3 first!

Tetreault doesn’t disappoint

As with all of the works by Ms. Tetreault, the characters are amazingly developed. You really feel a connection to the characters. Although the book is fantasy it is still somehow relatable, think Patrick Rothfuss (Name of the Wind).
The story is comparable in structure and character development to Rothfuss’ work yet the intimate scenes leave you on the edge of your seat. Which is the only real drawback of the other author’s work.
Connections made by the characters further welcome you into their world. The fantasy of the story is just perfect, it’s not over the top to the point you have to wonder what drug the author was on, yet it takes you to the rim of your imagination and envelops you in a marvelous new world. (I desperately need a forest room after reading this, hot spring and all)
What is truly amazing is how Brenda’s books tie into each other. She is hardcore on character development and her work reflects just that.
The material is wonderful, I did need to slow down the play speed just a bit as the narrator seems a bit rushed at times, although the flexibility of the different characters voices more than made up for that small issue!

Awesome Story! Awesome Listen!

Brenda Tetreault is an incredible author. She is responsible for drawing me into the genre of paranormal romance with her Nightshade series. I love her writing style, and found Fated to be a wonderful story that features Gideon and Gianna, plus it has cameo appearances of other characters that I have fallen in love with. A. Faye Hughes performs the book magically. She brings the characters to life with distinguishable voices. This book has some unpredictable twists, great humor, steamy scenes, and updates on other characters that only add to this book. This book is both a standalone listen and part of the Nightshade series. I highly recommend both.
