Summary
Fat and friendless, carer to her mother by day and a secret binge eater by night, 28-year-old Alison hates her life. A funny and enjoyable book

Immediately drawn to characters
Loved it. Not as funny as thought would be, but I was drawn to main character and her motivation. Though many times through story I did cringe at some of the things she did, impulsively listened to hear what would happen next. Not disappointed…. Eager to hear what happens next in her life

Very confusing book. didn't like the trope used of down trodden fat girl developing a personality when she looses weight
The protagonist is a really horrible character, ok she has a terrible relationship with her mother, again it's mother's fault I'm like this. She does some really horrible things in her quest for the ideal and I couldn't warm to her at all.

main character is horrid
whilst I couldnt decide if I enjoyed this book or not, I loathed the main character. she certainly has a couple of screws loose.

Loved it!
Great read. Twisty tipsy turvy character who you feel sympathy for, like and dislike all at once! Elements of us all in her I think! As for her mother.....

Unexpected
This book was not what I expected but I really enjoyed it! Disappointing ending though… not how I thought it would finish. Definitely worth the listen though!
