Reed Ferguson returns in his most harrowing adventure yet! Life and the detecting business are running smoothly for private eye Reed Ferguson until one of the Goofball Brothers goes missing. Reed leads the search and soon discovers Deuce's connection to some unscrupulous characters. As Reed learns more about Deuce's activities, the clues point to intrigue, danger, and death. In this fourth installment of the Reed Ferguson mysteries, Reed’s friend, Deuce of the Goofball Brothers, has disappeared. Reed is recruited to lead the search to locate him. Unexpected deaths and unsavory characters lead Reed on a twisted path of discovery. Just when he thinks he has found the person who has abducted Deuce, something emerges which takes him to another suspect. This mystery was well-written and the conclusion was unexpected. As with the previous installments, I thoroughly enjoyed spending my time with Reed and friends!
Johnny Peppers did an excellent job with the narration as usual. He is a real pleasure to listen to. Don’t miss this delightful series.
