Summary

My veil is gone, and I need it back.

Stuck in the lethal Outer Rings of Glacium, I must fight to survive. And not just that; my true identity must remain the gravest of secrets. No one can find out I'm the Tatuma of Osolis - the princess of their enemy world - especially now I know why I've been veiled my entire life.

I have to believe I can do it, because only then can I continue the search for Prince Kedrick's murderer and navigate my way back to King Jovan's castle.

Has my mother refused Jovan's peace offers and declared war? Do my brothers and Aquin know I'm alive? Who are my enemies, and who are my friends?

Nothing is certain. Though...if I think about it, nothing has been certain in a long time.

Warning: Cliff-hanger ending. Recommended for mature young adults due to swearing and mild sexual content.

Very well read

I read the book before I got the audible but I loved being able to here the story. the voices were very well done and distinct. The only problem I had was that sometimes the voice seemed a bit distorted, like the edit hadn't quite worked. I've never heard this problem before and so am not sure how to describe it. It didn't effect the story it just sounded like the person had changed location and moved further away or something like that for those few words. It was more an annoyance but the narrator herself was brilliant in the story telling and emotions. I loved the book but I love the audible more as I can listen to it anywhere.

Third Book and still engrossed.

Where does Fantasy of Flight rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have several favourite characters apart from the two main protagonists.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Dolan’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This series is the first time I've heard Amanda's narration and I cant help feeling she is better than in the first of the series even though she was good then, I think she herself is growing into the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and did. :D

Any additional comments?

Roll on book 4.

A Mix of Wrestle-Mania and Pretty Little Liars

I listened to this book last week and have since finished the series. In order to ensure I don't give any unintentional spoilers I will keep this brief.

Of the 4 books in the series, I think this is my favorite. Our Olina is faced with desire, consumed by revenge, plagued by childish-ness, and brave. She is also a runner both mentally and physically. These qualities and flaws lead her down a troublesome road that earns her some fierce friends and dangerous enemies.

Our Ice King gives me chills. Though the story is told from Olina's point of view, I desperately wanted more of him.

There is much more action in this book and action is my fav.

The first book gives you a look at the palace and court life inside. Book 2 gives you a look at the real world of Glacium outside of the castle. Of course things are rougher is terrain but still a form of politics in dealing with the organized crimals.

The narrator for this book did well. As more characters are added to a series it must be hard to keep things in order but she did a good job.

A Great Story! I loved it!

What did you like best about this story?

*an audio copy was received in exchange for an honest review*

I've sat here and thought about how to express my feelings for this book and I'm just... gonna go with it. Lol This is not a bad reaction, no it's one of fondness and intrigue. I really enjoyed this book. I like the addition of so many new characters and the interactions between them and Lina.

However, there were many, many, many times I wanted to reach into the pages of this book and snatch that gal up and choke the craziness out of her. Seriously she made me so mad a few times I just had to walk away. But I came back cause dang it, I had to know what that crazy gal was up to next.

The pages flowed slow at times, and a little too quickly on parts but I think the overall balance is there. Lina is danger magnet. Like seriously. She becomes one of the best fighters on the pits of the outer rings, all while searching for Kedrick's killer. One thing turns to two and then it all comes crashing down.

As with anything Lina does she pulls out all the stops. Thank God Jovan has seen her without her veil. It's seriously the ONLY thing that saves her hide and the hides of the men she's grown to call family. This in turn gives her a reunion with the castle but not as herself. Things get tricky and in the blink of an eye, she's running.

Once again she's on the outskirts but when word gets to her a Solati man has been taken to the king she has to go see who it is. When Lina sets eyes on here brother, she's herself again. Back in the place she just ran from. Back where she ran from the man, the king that wants and needs her...

It makes it hard when word gets to her that trouble is heading their way. Death may be calling on them all soon. It's up to Lina to find a way around it...

She has one shot at this... if she fails, many will die.
