Summary

Walking on the Wilde Side by Ann Jeffries is a contemporary story with elements of suspense, mystery, and romance.

Initially, the story starts in the fall in Washington, DC, but progresses to a small island off the coast of Maine, a small community in South Carolina, and finally ends up in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania in time for the Christmas holidays. Wealthy reporter Simon Wilde is a former US Navy SEAL who uses his position to cover his covert action for a secret world enforcement agency.

He returns from three months of a covert mission in the Middle East and Africa to find three murdered victims in his home. One of the deceased is a former lover of his.

DC Police Detective Eve Montgomery, a former Coast Guard Officer who is also a pilot, has just closed a complicated drug case resulting from months of undercover work. She is looking forward to taking a few days off to rest and relax. As one of the top cops in the Washington, DC, Police Department she is called in to take point on the murder of three people in the home of a reporter. When drive-by shots are fired at Wilde and Montgomery, Eve determines that it's best to hide Wilde away from anyone who might be gunning for him. While Wilde recovers from gunshot wounds, he and Montgomery work together to try to figure out who killed the people in his home and why someone is trying to kill him.

Family Affairs Continued

Chuck and Vivian Alexander Montgomery have multi-cultural family most adopted. This book is mostly about their daughter Eve a police detective and ex-coast guard officer and pilot. She is working on multiple murder case that occurred at Simon Wilde’s home. He is an ex-navy seal and is a reporter and found his ex-girlfriend and a couple of her friends murder, he also comes from a well-known famous family. Both of the main characters are likable as they become romantically involved, there is a lot of action and suspense in the book as well as some sexually situations especially at the end. There are too many family members to mention and some of the main characters are updated from previous books at the Christmas gathering. It was a fun family affair listen with good narration. . I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU

The Alex-Mont saga continues

A great story that follows one of the next generation... Eve Montgomery. With Eve being a homicide detective, I knew we’d have a murder mystery to solve but there was so much more. This thrilling story has intrigue, action, drama, and romance too!

Ann Jeffries continues to give us great storylines in her epic saga. The extended families she has created are so well developed. I love how all her stories build on one another.

If you’re looking for an entertaining story, look no further. Kelley Hazen delivers a phenomenal performance. She has the ability to voice many different characters and she brings out each of their personalities perfectly.

Great Read

Walking on the Wilde Side: The Alex-Mont Kids Saga #3 was a good read by Ann Jeffries. Simon Wilde is a former US Navy SEAL who now works for a secret world enforcement agency. He returns from a three month mission to find three murdered victims in his house. DC Police Detective Eve Montgomery, just closed a complicated undercover case. She can't wait for a few days off to rest and relaxation. But is called into take point on the murder at Simon's house. Drive by shots are fired at Eve and Simon and they must hide out to stay safe. This was another good read by the author and I can't wait to read more by the author.

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it extremely entertaining. Following the stories of the next generation has so far been interesting now that they're adults finding their way in the world. Eve, now a homicide detective, is tired and running on empty when her phone rings, three bodies have been found. The crime scene is belongs to Simon Wilde, a wealthy reporter, and through a series of events becomes Eve's responsibility to keep him alive. My favourite in this series so far, with lots of suspense, action, humour and romance. The adventures of this family always guarantees to entertain. Looking forward to more episodes.
