wtf

I really enjoyed this series up to this point.

This book is a combination of a recap episode using nonsensical time travel and a destruction of all of the previous books. I will not spoil the book, but I am so disappointed in this book. The character decides to leap to random conclusions abandoning any logic what so ever. The author undermines pretty much all of the character development so far by making everything contrived or using a shoehorned in reason. There is only a handful of chapters that progress the story to any extent.

On top of all of this, only the first 15 or so chapters are interesting. The last few are a bad attempt at a plot twist and abrupt ending. And everything in between can be skipped, as it will probably put you to sleep anyhow. Although this series my continue, I am done with it. It is sad to see, as I thought the systems and story this series used were interesting and unique in a lot of ways.

Interesting Conclusion

I know there is at least one reviewer that was less than impressed with the book. I will say this however. The story was well thought out and the details were too specific to be a hiccup on the author’s part. That being said, I thought it went well and the author left off with an interesting plot point that leaves you in the dark about whether or not this series is complete. There is just enough detail that it seems the answer is yes; but, like I said just enough.

Finally, this novel explains a lot about everything that went on in the previous novel and you really get to see the ‘guts’ of the story exposed. I’ve never seen a novel pull this off so well as this one.

Sure it may not be for everyone, but I for one really enjoyed it.

Thank you Pegaz.

Horrible end

I loved every single book till this last one. SPOILER BELOW
The whole book is just a giant recap with some details here and there. And the ending. Don’t get me started. The ending just feels lazy. If there is another book after this one I hope it’s writer like the books before this one.

A solid installment

During this book, I was very bored honestly. when time travel comes into play it always gets messy. anyway we finally get some major secrets and mysteries revealed. some things in the main characters past are cleared up. overall it was a slow burn unlike this author's previous books with action non stop. the ending was the only point that I was actually excited. I am eagerly awaiting the next book and I hope the demon John makes a comeback.

It's unique, not just a flashback

Ignore the bad reviews!! I'm so glad I did. You can't trust people these days. People are way too over critical without taking the time to appreciate what Pegaz did here... Everything people complained about in the previous books this book fixes. It's so damn creative, and it makes sense for the entire story!! Narration is good, story is great! I'm game for book 8.

Major spoilers

So I enjoyed the first 60% of this story. Loved his progression during that time. My issue is the rest of the book that makes most of the other books look like shit.

So on to the (warning) spoilers.

The last 40% of the book John travels through time and in essence sets up everything for his past self and when I say everything I mean everything. He literally left nothing to chance. I now get why the author was annoyed by people calling the past MC overpowered. He wasn’t. His future self is. If the future self just went back and helped a few time it would be cool. But that is not how it works he literally is the driving force of what happened to is past self. Pretty much every major event is caused by the future self. Future self is even the reason why most of the siders we see in the story are in the new universe.

It just comes down to the MC is his own dues ex machina. Invalidating the story of his growth.
