Needed: fake boyfriend for destination wedding

I came out to my parents when I was 15. Sadly, this has never stopped my mother from finding lovely young women for me to date. My sister suggests I bring my own date to her destination wedding. The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

Omg! This audiobook is too adorable! Ben and Evan are so cute together. I love how John Solo brought these characters to life, definitely a highly recommend listen!

Fake the Date is the first book I’ve read by Ana Byrde and I really liked the story a lot. The fake boyfriend trope is one I really enjoy and she did a great job with this one.

John Solo’s excellent performance of the story had me hanging on every word and I listened to it straight through once I started it.

This may be my first book by Ana Byrde but it won’t be my last.

This is a brilliant fun story to enjoy and listen to as Ben learns how to be free when he takes his room mate as his fake date to his sister’s wedding. Evan comes to realise that he has feeling for Ben and we follow as he comes to terms with it. They also have to deal with haughty parents who think they know best.

This is really a feel good story, but absolutely not shallow, except for some rich parents... It has all the emotions and you feel them in your heart. And having John Solo express all those feelings is just amazing.
