Faith's Checkbook, written by world-renowned British pastor Charles H. Spurgeon, provides daily deposits of God's promises into your personal bank of faith. Spurgeon urges you to view each Bible promise as a check written by God that can be cashed by personally endorsing it and receiving the gift it represents. Cash in on the bountiful store of blessings when you withdraw daily from the Bank of Faith.

This captivating audio devotional offers inspiration and delight in our Lord, and it encourages listeners to take God's promises to heart in two minutes or less per day. Narrator Christopher Glyn's rich voice and English accent make Spurgeon's simple, poetic, and deeply spiritual reflections and lessons come to life.

"A promise from God may very instructively be compared to a check payable to order," wrote Spurgeon." It is given to the believer with the view of bestowing upon him some good thing. It is not meant that he should read it over comfortably, and then have done with it. No, he is to treat the promise as a reality, as a man treats a check."

Each verse is followed by a brief thought or application, making this audio collection ideal for personal or family devotions wherever you may go.

This is helping me in the days of trial to play at night when the worst ofthe darkness comes , stopping my doubts and fears as the scripture promises are quoted and Spurgeon's positive and Jesus centred expounding reassures the Christian of God's promises . The soft piano and narators voice speak wonderfully throughout the night enabling relaxation and sleep to come and to wake to more of the glories of the saviour's peace and love ,his experiences not unlike our own but enduring worse unto victory promising strength and always reminding us he died for our sins on the cross, that he bears our burdens and his blood is the full cleansing power. That we are justified by faith in Jesus , the begotten Son sent to earth by the Father and the joy to live for him and proclaim him the One True Lord God incarnate ,that I am reconciled to God and God's everlasting arms are holding me and his Holy Spirit's comfort and guide are in and about me.

The narrator 's work is undermined by syrupy background music which only encourages the listener to ignore the whole. Spurgeon's teaching does not stand out . After listening to Spurgeon's autobiography I wanted to hear his sermons. Unfortunately this recording doesn't carry the delivery or force of his life's work

Disappointed
