Summary
Factfulness: The stress-reducing habit of carrying only opinions for which you have strong supporting facts.
When asked simple questions about global trends - why the world's population is increasing; how many young women go to school; how many of us live in poverty - we systematically get the answers wrong. So wrong that a chimpanzee choosing answers at random will consistently outguess journalists, Nobel laureates, and investment bankers.
In Factfulness, Professor of International Health and a man who can make data sing, Hans Rosling, together with his two longtime collaborators Anna and Ola, offers a radical new explanation of why this happens and reveals the 10 instincts that distort our perspective.
It turns out that the world, for all its imperfections, is in a much better state than we might think. But when we worry about everything all the time instead of embracing a worldview based on facts, we can lose our ability to focus on the things that threaten us most.
Inspiring and revelatory, filled with lively anecdotes and moving stories, Factfulness is an urgent and essential book that will change the way you see the world.

Listen to this .
Seriously it's as simple as that . A giant of a chap who unlike most so called experts, did not follow the herd. He looked behind the curtains to show how thick we can ALL be.

crucial reading for all
The description of this may come across as a bit dry, but it's actually very listenable and will be enjoyed by both those with and without a science background.

Essential book to see the world more clearly
Having been a fan of Rowling for some years, I was gutted to hear of his passing, but then glad when this work was completed by his family. Factfullness gets you to challenge your world view and gives you the thought process tools to cut through the bullshit presented by the media on just about any subject. Compelling listening. Even though the narrator is not the great man himself, his voice speaks clearly through his words.

Get the paperback
Would be five stars but the book relies heavily on visuals from a pdf. It is a fantastic book, and it should be read by everyone, but I do believe it is best experienced as a physical book rather than an audiobook.

Definitely worth review
An honest an accurate representation of the world. Not negative, not optimistic, but true. And we can use the knowledge to avoid our common pitfalls such as our urgency instinct or fear of various things as well as act more practically in all aspects of life involving other people.

Fantastic book that help you think
This is a fantastic book that's wonderfully written and engagingly performed. The world is not as bad as we perceive it to be, and this book helps to identify the biases that contribute to that world view. Well with the time to listen to and to contemplate it's lessons.
