Read it rather than listen to it

Content is okay. Narration is awful gave me a headache. Think I would have enjoyed it if they made it more readable lots of list which dont really work with an audio book.

Recovery steps unhelpful

I find the narrator difficult to listen to.

The practical steps for recovery aren’t very proactive. It just seems to tell you to take a lot of time to go to rehab groups and break from your partner. Not really any tools to deal with day to day.

The only book you will ever need on love addiction!

Hands down, this book takes you down an introspective and very well - informed road on love addiction. The author absolutely knows this topic thoroughly, and clearly, gently, with compassion, teaches you how to heal; and cease old, outdated, harmful, unloving attitudes and behaviors that fuel this all-too painful addiction. Please listen to it, and do so with an open mind and heart. It’s a real keeper! Thank you for an awesome production with flawless narration to sweeten the deal!

FINALLY ON AUDIBLE!

Been hoping for Pia Mellody or Patrick Carnes books to be available in audio books and was delighted to stumble on this just a few days after it was released. Not a fan of the narrator. He almost sounds sarcastic or put out by having to read hah! but if you can get past that, content is great! Also this particular title seems like you might also need a printed copy to actually do the writing assignments.

Informative but hard to follow & boring narrator

I like the information, it’s informative & educational BUT his voice is so boring. Also I wish he’d be less repetitive with certain terms & shorten others. I definitely learned a bit about my significant other, my siblings, & parents.

It was just ok.....

Maybe I was expecting something different but the book was just ok to me. There were some valuable points but didn’t get as much out of it as I was expecting...

Pia Mellody saving relationships.

I love all of Pia Mellody's work. This book was like looking into the window of my marriage. Unbelievable how textbook my behaviors are. A definite must read.

Such a gift

This has been instrumental in my self-work. My sister indirectly told me about this book after yet another failed relationship and it allowed me to see that I have so much left to learn and heal from. Prior to this point, I’d been protecting my ego and I had no idea! Some may not be ready to start on this journey, be patient. They will one day come around hopefully. In the meantime, good luck as you navigate the trenches of love addiction. I’m thrilled to have a series of readings set up for my future self-work and this is a great addition to that collection.
