Summary

Mia Devlin knows what it is like to love with your whole heart - and then watch your love walk away. Years ago, she and Sam Logan shared an incredible bond built on passion, legend, and fate. But then one day he fled Three Sisters Island, leaving her lost in memories of the magic they shared - and determined to live without love.

The new owner of the island's only hotel, Sam, has returned to Three Sisters with hopes of winning back Mia's affections. He is puzzled when she greets him with icy indifference - for the chemistry between them is still sizzling and true.

Angry, hurt, and deeply confused, Mia refuses to admit that a passion for Sam still burns in her heart. But she'll need his help - and his powers - to face her greatest, most terrifying challenge. And as the deadline for breaking a centuries-old curse draws near, they must take the first steps toward destiny - and come together to turn back the dark.

Critic reviews

"Well written and well crafted....Sandra Burr creates subtly different voices and accents for the different characters. Her pacing is excellent, and she conveys just the right amount of expression and emotion to make listening a light and thoroughly enjoyable experience." ( AudioFile)

Don't end.

I got totally wrapped up in the trilogy and did not want it to end. I wanted a fourth book. The characters were so vivid in my imagination.
Bravo to you Nora Roberts you kept my interest in every word.

Good Ending

I was really looking forward to the ending of this trilogy and I was not disappointed. Very mature handling of the relationship between H and h without being overly dramatic. This story pulls in all of the Island Sisters and their relationships with the big battle on the horizon. I kind of wished there was an epilogue to this story though to give us a look at their future.

nice ending

towards the end it was a struggle for me. it seems like she could have had a little more imagination in the spells. there was a lot of repeating. but overall it was a good finish.

Great Story but Some Character Flaws

I loved this series. But the character Ripley on occasion throughout the series is a bit childish for a 30 year old woman. Other than that the story is perfect.

This story is the perfect ending to the series where you see Mia come full circle and it slowly builds. I think the fight peak or crescendo could have been longer and more complicated however.

Voice over is perfect.

The ultimate ending!

Mia makes one want to go work at Cafe Book just so that you can learn from her and take in her learnings.

The 3 together are a force to recon with - if only love and romance were this easy!

Nora Roberts makes you want to read only trilogies so that you can get into the lives of the charaters.

if only this were real! i'd move in a flash!

Wonderfully writted, wonderfully read!

Thank you fro your insight and research and thank you for making them audible!

Review

I read a lot of Nora Roberts but couldn’t even finish this book. Didn’t like the voices or was I able to follow the story line

Love the book, dislike the voices

This is by far my favorite series by Nora Roberts. I do, however, wish that the audio books could be read by several persons, each with their own character like in the old radio shows. It is a bit disconcerting to "hear" Zach talking with a female voice.

It’s a decent romance

I enjoyed all three of these books and I really enjoy Sandra Burr’s narrations, it doesn’t bother me that Mia sounds elderly lol. Not my favorite trilogy from Nora Robert’s but, was a nice break from some full on doom and gloom books I’ve been reading.
