He was trained to protect America.

Now he’s the reason it might fall.

After a covert mission in the Iraqi desert, Delta Force operator Vann Jackson returns to the US embassy in Baghdad—infected with a deadly, bloodthirsty virus.

When he snaps in the embassy chow hall, the violence is brutal—and the contagion now unstoppable. As the infection spreads, turning military and civilian staff into mindless killers, panic erupts, command breaks down, and the embassy descends into chaos.

Cut off from the outside world, the survivors—Marines, diplomats, and Delta Force operators—prepare to make a desperate last stand. But they’re not just fighting the infected.

Back in Washington, power-hungry politicians have already decided—there can be no rescue, no witnesses, and no survivors.

For those trapped inside the world’s most secretive embassy, the choice is simple—Escape the compound. Or die inside it.

You can’t help but get absorbed in the story, the suspense and the action. The author does an excellent job with the detail which keeps the fantastic realistic. A great holiday read which you will be sorry to finish. I can’t wait to read the 3rd in the series.

A must read

An excellent roller-coaster of a thriller. You don't need to have read book one of the series (which is also great in a completely different way) and don't get too bogged down in the opening political exchanges, this book takes off and the afterburners kick in. Grim reading at times but extremely exciting and expertly delivered. Loved it!

A Hell Of A Ride!!!
