dictionary definition without insight

sadly patronising,v. factual, robotic and disappointing. the slow American narration seems to be reading facts while offering no insight, perspective or anything more than a dictionary definition read without feeling.

A well organized Audio book

I am still a bit in awe at how simple and almost easy this process has been compared to the many times I tried to cut drinking in the past. This is definitely the book to listen if you want to loosen the grip alcohol has taken on your life.

Excellent motivational advice.

I laughed, I cried, I felt her pain. Author story is eerily similar to mine. She made it so easy to relate and understand everything she had gone through and why she stopped drinking and why I should, too.

Easy listen with good tips and skills

This is a very personal story about the step's the author took to stop drinking. I have drunk heavily in the past and still have the odd binge even if infrequently. This audiobook has made me question the wisdom of having a drink even on a monthly basis.

MY LIFE IS CHANGING !!!!!

this book was of vital importance to me, it gave me the strength to say NO TO DRUGS ... the content of the book is amazing, the chapters make you understand 100% how to get out of addiction and trace a rehabilitation path on how to approach new life from the point of view of family relationships, love affairs and work. The last chapter of the book is the best in my opinion. the story of the author (elliott) and his experience with cocaine is explained, how he destroyed it, how he lost his job, how he lost his affections .... obviously there is a happy ending to the story ..I can't spoil too much !!! Go and buy it now, MY LIFE IS CHANGING !!!!!

Change your habits, change your life!

This book has been chock full of tips, strategies, and life-changing ideas when it comes to being on the wrong track. Drugs have nothing positive, this book literally made me quit opioids, I've been addicted since high school .... I lost friends, family and job. I spent years in rehab but I was always falling for drugs. Whenever. Now I am in a phase of "rebirth" and this book is giving me the strength to move forward, it is giving me a lot of advice. Thanks again to the author ... a real genius!

Elliott changed my mindset about life

I thank the author very much, he made me look deeper into my relationship with drugs. I have had some terrible experiences in my life due to addictions. This book has given me concrete hopes, ideas from where I can get out of this nightmare once and for all. The last few chapters have particularly impressed me. when Elliott tells you how to go about your life after detox, how to interface with family, friends and work. He is absolutely right about everything, you can see that he too was a drug addict as he tells in the story at the end of the book .. INCREDIBLE. He too suffered a lot ... beautiful and exciting book. ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET OUT OF THIS NIGHTMARE, THE DRUG.

Amazing and it works!

This book has changed my entire outlook on drinking; I started out extremely skeptical, and despite being presented with hard facts about why alcohol is bad for you I was still skeptical while listening.

This is perfect audiobook on right time

A perfect audio book on right time. It's not about 'abstaining' from alcohol - admitting that you want it but that you can't have it. It's about giving it up because it's bad, and you don't want or need it any more.

An Essential Listen

The author was conceited to think she could do such a thing for everyone who listen it. As I got further into it and she continued to be so confident, I started to wonder if it really could work, though.
