About this listen

Janet Evanovich's novels are: 'Pithy, witty and fast-paced' (The Sunday Times); 'Non-stop laughs with plenty of high jinks' (USA Today); 'Razor-sharp' (Sunday Express). So don't miss EXPLOSIVE EIGHTEEN!

Stephanie's got a one-way ticket to trouble...

After a holiday from hell, Stephanie's heading back to New Jersey and life as a bounty hunter feeling worse than before. And that's before she finds out the man in the seat next to her was brutally murdered on their layover, and she may hold the key to his death.
With both the fake FBI and the real FBI on her tail, not to mention sometimes-boyfriend Morelli and more-than-a-mentor Ranger, Stephanie's beginning to wonder if she might need a holiday from it all...

Critic reviews

'Evanovich's series of New Jersey comedy thrillers are among the great joys of contemporary crime fiction...'
'Packed with her familiar wicked ear for dialogue...Plum is not just a smart private eye but a heroine with a sense of humour'

Explosive Eighteen, whilst predictable (after all it is the eighteenth book about Stephanie Plum’s chaotic world), has still got the wonderful panoply of misfits brought to life by Lorelei King’s narration. She captures the quirkiness of each character in her delivery that make listening as much joy as reading the novels themselves.

I have read Janet Evanovich's books for years and find the Stephany Plum books so hysterically funny.... Listening to the stories now on audio is a great sole relaxer...Comedy at it's best, brilliantly dramatised by the narrator, leaves me utterly engrossed and entertained... From Grandma Mazer, to Ranger via Plum's mishaps with Lula.... Just love, love, love this book and the whole manic Plum, the Bounty Hunter misfortunate sagas !!! just wonderful! thank you ....

absolutely Sensational !!!!

I have always enjoyed the Stephanie Plum novels, and the narrator is one of my favourites, therefore that makes this story a great combination. Top marks.

Good author, good narrator.

I love Stephanie Plum stories. Janet Evanovich is such a strong writer in this genre. This is the first I've listened to.

I'm less happy about Lorelei King's 'black' voice. it sounds wrong and disrespectful.

love the story with reservations on the narration
