Single best book you can buy on Excel

By using the relative references button, the macro will run from whatever cell is active. The only thing you will need to do is to choose the cell and run the Macro. To use the Relative References button, simply click on it to activate. It will become active and remain that way until you click on it again to deactivate it. Being able to create a Macro is a fundamental skill necessary in the VBA program. If you create a Macro without the relative references, then it is just a matter of selecting the cell and telling the program what to do.

Extremely helpful Extremely beneficial.

This course is designed fantastically as it helps one to build upon the basics and then connect to real life situations where one can use the leanings straight away. I will rate the course very high in terms of bringing in the practical scenarios where VBA is applicable. So, if you are looking for a quick launchpad into the world of VBA, this is going to be a perfect choice.

Without a doubt a valuable book.

Excellent course for becoming familiar with visual basic programming and/or macros! This course explores ways Excel can be used to create tools that increase efficiency and productivity when performing routine tasks, what are variables, arrays, subroutines, and loops, generating and presenting reports, the syntaxes needed to write your own code and completing more unique projects. I would definitely recommend the "Excel VBA: 3 Books in 1" course!

Gets you far, gets you there fast.

This course is so good that it landed me a new job! Before I knew who Daniel was, I signed up to this course in order to bolster my VBA skills (I had signed up to other VBA courses on Audible so I had a decent amount of understanding when it came to VBA and macros). From the start, Daniel does a fantastic job of step-by-step instructions on getting set up with VBA. This course is very detailed and in depth in the world of VBA programming. It starts off simple but shifts into increasing levels of difficulty towards the middle and especially towards the last milestone project (which can seem very tedious and complicated if you are new to VBA). This course is also very intensive and can be a challenge to finish it but once completed, you will have a very good understanding of VBA. I have done a few courses of VBA in Audible and this has to be the best VBA course, hands down! Thank you Daniel for creating amazing content!

A practical help for learning VBA

The course is nice and covers a lot of topics. I hope there would be VBA scripts for each lesson listed in the pdf file for quick reference rather than open the Excel file every time I want to revise. Anyway the course is well-explained and useful. I think I need to listen it several times for better understanding.

Lot's of useful information here

I learned the basics of VBA as promised. Would have preferred more examples to practice with, but the course is designed to allow the user to go and practice on their own with the information provided.

Great for VBA Newcomers

Excellent course which gives you a solid foundation of knowledge you can build on. The course content is very well structured and explained and thus easily understandable. During the problem solving you know exactly what you are doing, why you are doing it and also how to reach help within the VBA developer itself or on the internet. Also, the topic range is very wide. I can only recommend this course!

This the THE book

IF, Then, Loop, Close, and Open are common among all programming languages. It is important that you learn these basics first. Without them, you won’t be able to fully understand how VBA works. Once you understand how to access the code window and have mastered a few more basics, you’ll be writing your own code in no time at all. Code writing does not have to be difficult. If you just remember to follow a few basic guidelines, you should be able to do it without much problem. It is not a random function though. As with any other undertaking, it will take proper planning and following the rules so your program will run smoothly and efficiently. It is essential that you understand variables when creating a code. Variables are those elements of code that are prone to variations. They can change based on several different factors. You can think of them like a file cabinet where you may have standard files in the cabinet but the content will change based on data received or used. By following some basic guidelines, using variables despite their constant changes need not be a problem.

Gets the job done.

This was an excellent learning tool! I'm experienced with other programming languages, but not at all familiar with VBA, so this was very helpful in teaching me the unique way things work in VBA!

VBA to the Rescue

I recommend this course 100%. A lot of learning ahead of me still, but it gave me a great base. I was already able to create few macros in my workplace to quicken our day to day tasks. Everything was passed in structured and understandable way. Absolut hit.

VBA

Visual Basic Application, a computer programming language that allows you to create specific user-defined functions that will automate specific computer processes and calculations. Sometimes however, there are certain functions that cannot be done by simply recording a Macro. Perhaps you’re working on a project that can’t simply order cells sequentially but you will be calculating real numbers and solving real problems. This is where your Visual Basic Application comes in, While this is a more advanced programming langue, you won’t need to learn any special VBA coding or any programming language to use it. Keep in mind though, that when you record a Macro the program will record everything you do, including your mistakes. So, when you go back to run it, it will do only what you tell it to do. This is why, it is more important than ever to make sure that your programming is exactly as it should be.

This is the gold standard.

Now I know how a 5 star course should look like. I'm a long time subscriber of Daniel Jones profile on Amazon. I'm familiarized with his approach in teaching, that's why I've chosen this course to get started with Excel VBA, and I didn't get disappointed. Jones serves you this course with the finest contents and all the ingredients that you need to fulfill your needs. If you "eat this big gourmet meal", take your time to "digest" it and go back to review some complex tips, I'm sure you will succeed in this programming language. This course is very practical and you will get some fabulous resources to put in practice in your work. If you need a course to get started with Excel VBA, choose this one.

Indispensable

Mr Jones explains the topics very clearly. I have started several VBA courses only to have to seek another course for basic info. This course starts at the very beginning and explains each concept. I now feel confident that I can return to the other courses with a better understanding of VBA and be able to get much more out of the other courses because of the excellent VBA foundation this course builds. I wish Mr Daniel Jones were still around for me to thank him for this course. So, through the cyberverse, I send my many thanks to Mr Daniel Jones. I am deeply grateful.

This is straightforward.

Over half way through the course and my service expectation has been exceeded! The course is constructed in a progressive and effective structure. Since starting the course I have implemented more effective data analysis, approval process management and a common phase has become 'I hear you're the excel wizard'. This has given me many new tasks.... but I can't blame the course for being too effective.

Practical approach to VBA skills development

Daniel's course is well organized and supported by practical examples. Through macros, I am able to save time, avoid mistakes, and standardize the content and manner in which information is delivered.

Urge to learn a new programming skill

The course may seem well lentghed since he covers many subjects and tries to go into each as detailed as possible, but i think he did an amazing job considering how complex VBA is. I can definitely say that I now know what VBA is and have rudimentary VBA skill. Like he said this book has been designed to help the beginner to understand and implement the many powerful tools that can be utilized within its program. I definitely recommend this course to those who are interested and getting into VBA.

Just what I needed

Very good course that provides more than a basic introduction to VBA. Daniel is super knowledgeable and explains the concepts extremely well. Highly recommended. I had a basic knowledge of VBA and this has really accelerated it!
