This book begins with a conversation around public culture. How do we create an evolutionary public space which reflects our desire for a better world? How do we create coherence in a sea of social chaos? How can we move from digital abuse to digital intimacy and transform the internet into an expression of the genuine nervous system of our humanity?

This book invites us to explore elements of the necessary digital foundations for an emergent culture of Eros. This book lays down a vision for a world in which we are all evolutionary partners, awakening to the joy and responsibility of this moment in history.

Public culture is the place where we play out either the depths our private refinement or swamp of our shame. Healing the depth of our personal and cultural shame is therefore indispensable for creating a sacred public culture. As such, we explore through multiple doors the roots of our wounding and shame.

One key is to look at the way we coil, clench, and contract, guarding our hearts due to painful prior experiences. It is necessary to work with the wounds of the past, but this by itself is insufficient. This is but the first step. Through transforming and healing our shame and wounding we liberate the driving power of activism.

This is the path of transforming our personal and collective crisis.

Our crisis becomes a birth.
