Summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

A woman proving herself in a man’s world finds love in the suspenseful and emotional conclusion to the Creek Canyon series from New York Times bestselling author Catherine Bybee.

As the only female civil engineer in her department, Grace Hudson needs space from men. Her last love interest traumatized her in ways she never saw coming; with that behind her, she is determined to focus on her career. Even so, a little flirting with a handsome stranger over coffee can’t hurt, right?

In their short interaction, Grace dazzles Dameon Locke. But he’s focused on his newest development project and keeping his company afloat after his biggest investor pulled out. So during the planning huddle with the city board, he’s stunned to find the petite spitfire he met at the coffee shop running the show.

Grace can’t ignore Dameon’s charm, but when a disgruntled developer accuses Grace of taking bribes, her world is upended. Worse still, something much more important than her job may be in peril.

With her career in shambles and her life in danger, Grace turns to Dameon...but will she risk putting him in danger too?

Pathetic!

I can’t believe this author doesn’t realize that by creating pathetic love stories where it’s acceptable to have children out of wedlock, and marry someone after knowing them only for a few weeks and making it sound like they’re soulmates isn’t a terrible influence on so many young girls in today’s society.

Hopefully the young women in the author’s life won’t read this kind of garbage.

It would have been so easy to write a romance novel with some degree of moral responsibility instead of perpetuating the dangerous fantasies that continue to perpetuate unwanted children

Great book!

I am excited to share that Grace Hudson’s story was worth the wait! If you’ve been following the series then you remember that Grace is a civil engineer with the city government...and she’s also the ‘baby’ of the Hudson family. While getting some fresh air at her oldest brother, Collins’s wedding, Grace sees a gorgeous guy staring at her. The next day, sh runs into him at a coffee shop, then finally at her job! Turns out that Damien Locke is a new developer in the city. There is chemistry between the duo but Grace is resistant...she has to focus on her work since her boss is a sexist tool. Drama with a trailer park owner leads to trouble for Grace but she has her family and Damien at her back. Engaging story with likable characters.

Loved it!

This whole series has been really good! I got to listen to the audiobook this time and loved the narration. I'm also a big fan of who the author chose for Grace. Dameon was intriguing right from the start. I enjoyed his determination to get to know Grace even if he had to stalk her just a little bit. Who am I kidding? I loved the stalking! Great book!

Loved this story!

Love comes slowly for some. For others, it just smacks you upside the head!

Our hero gets into our heroine fast, and although sparks fly, she’s a bit gun-shy due to previous experiences in her life.

The usual good things bad things happen, and our main characters come out the other side stronger.

The narrators did great bringing all these characters to life.

Recommended audiobook!

loved this series

I love the story line. The sequels continued with all the other characters they just didn't drop them. The narrator was great I liked her voice, but she definitely needed to have more inflexion and change of gender. Sometimes she lost me in who she was speaking for and if it was a male or female
