About this listen

Audiobook 1 of the Archaon Duology

Archaon Everchosen, Lord of the End Times, stands poised to sweep the world away in a storm of Chaos. But where did he come from? Who was he before he fell to darkness? For the first time, the true story behind Archaon is revealed.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's the first half of one of the most epic tales in Warhammer history, delving into the past of the Chaos champion known as Archaon and exploring what can make a devout Sigmarite warrior fall into the service of the Dark Gods.

THE STORY

In the north of the world the forces of Chaos gather, awaiting their moment to strike. At their head is the Everchosen, the warrior who will lead the final, cataclysmic assault that will usher in the End Times and the reign of the Ruinous Powers. But he was not always thus – he was once a man, a devout servant of the warrior-god Sigmar. What could cause such a soul to fall to the worship of the Dark Gods? What dark events could have put a knight of the Empire on the path to becoming the harbinger of the world's end? And just who was the man who will become known to all as Archaon?

Following the prophecy of an heretic Monk a nameless Child of the Northern wastes was destined to become the ultimate champion of Chaos.
Archeon didn't start Evil on the contrary he was a warrior believing in justice and fighting for the Man God Sigmar as a Templar raised in religious fervour and fanatical belief in the Empire and all it stood for. Until he fell victim to the political machinations of the powerful, betrayed, hunted his name and legacy turned to ash and haunted by the prophecy our hero wants to escape ,in despair he turns towards the dark gods despite being aware of their manipulations. The story is gripping as we share in his struggles his doubts his numerous victories and the cruel vagaries of fate . But noone can escape their destiny especially one whose spirit strength charisma and brutal cunning boosted by a darkness helping him overcoming impossible odds at the cost of his sanity and eternal soul.
Archeon is a great Villain nuanced tortured cruel and merciless yet still showing moments of humanity in darkest abyss.
