OMFG!!!

This book is amazing Tom and Gi have surpassed my expectation of what to expect from Eve of Man and I have listened to the whole thing in one day!! The characters are relatable, loveable and dislikeable in all the right places. The description of the world in which Eve is living in is so detailed and intricate I was right there with her!! So many twists and turns I was hooked from get go right to very last word!!! I CANNOT wait for book 2! In fact I’m off to start this all over again thank you mr & mrs Fletcher xxx

Brilliant book. As soon as I started listening I was captivated. Its the first book I've listened to on Audible and I loved it. I loved how each character told their side of the story I felt you really got to know Eve and Bram. Can't wait for the next part of the trilogy to be published I'm hoping it won't be too long

Great Story

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It had a really easy listening style. I absolutely love the Actors chosen to read the story they were totally believable as the characters. I would have loved to have heard a little more of the back story behind the Mothers they were really interesting characters. I'm really looking forward to finding out what happens next to Eve & Bram.

Best Book I’ve Read In While

This was a great book. I loved the dual narration. They both did amazing. This is my favorite genre of book, and lately I’ve been in a slump where nothing could catch my attention. This had it from the beginning. Even had me crying in the car pickup line. Highly recommend!

wow

This was an awesome audible. The story is nothing too different than many dystopian but the writing makes it great and the narrators are even more amazing.
PS hey Audible, you need to make something where we can easily follow our favorite narrators and authors.

Fantastic book, great audio

I thought both the story and the narrators were wonderful. The main characters were very likeable and had depth.

I thought when I started the book that it would go to a darker place (like handmaids tale), but I actually found the book quite optimistic about how humankind would treat the last woman on Earth. Of course, it was dark in the sense that it was brutally honest about the harsh scientific realities of having one fertile woman in the world, but the authors balanced it well with a real hopefulness for humanity.

I would have liked to gotten to know a couple of the side characters a bit better before they were taken away, but I did still get enough to get attached to them and be very sad to lose them.

Great YA fiction for youth and adults alike

So great to have a female protagonist that I would be happy to have my daughter look up to. She’s strong and balanced, but they still give her character a good arc. Despite her circumstances, they give her loads of agency and she is well-rounded and vital. The male protagonist is well-written and doesn’t fall into the same old YA patterns. He starts out flawed, for sure, but his character grows. There’s some really interesting experimenting done with the idea of identity and gender and their interplay.

They do fantastic world-building for the book without weighing it down with excessive detail. The secondary and even tertiary characters are colorful and interesting. It’s a fun ride from start to finish and I wish it had been around when I was a teen. Very much looking forward to reading the next one when it comes out. And probably the movie that someone somewhere is probably already planning.

Great start to the trilogy!

The narrators were phenomenal to put it mildly. they did a great job capturing the voice of the characters Eve and Bram.

The story itself was engaging and well written.

The first issue I had with the story was the authors excessive descriptions on how fat one of the characters was. Anytime that one character spoke, walked, stood in a doorway it was all about how fat they we're. No other character was described in terms of body fat.

The second and last issue was that towards the end it got dramatic. I realize that the book is about a 16 year old girl and an 18 year old boy so the drama is going to happen no matter what. It felt like the writers were in a hurry to push the plot forward in the second half of the book.

That being said, this did contain some surprises and didn't take the most obvious route. The narrators made this a delight to listen to. I didn't get bored once.

Worth it!

So, when is the sequel coming out?!?

Addicting right from the start. So well written, I did not want it to end! I’m pretty sad that the sequel isn’t out anytime soon.... SUCH AN AMAZING STORY!
