Summary

Touring with four rockers is the thing of dreams - at least that is what people tell me. To me, those four rockers are my family. They have watched over me from the time I was five years old, protecting me from my mother and her drunken, drug-addicted rages. When they made it big, they still watched over me. And when my monster of a mother died, they took over as my guardians.

In the six years since that happened, I have watched over the four men who mean everything to me. I take care of them just as they once took care of me. I handle all the dirty work behind the scenes of a rocker's life. It isn't always pretty. At times it can be damn near disgusting, especially when I have to get rid of their one-night stands. Ugh!

Taking care of them doesn't bother me, though. I mean it's not like I'm in love with one of them. That would be crazy. Falling for a rocker is not smart.

Okay, so I'm not smart. I love my guys, and one of them kind of holds my heart in his big old rocker hand. But I'm dealing. I've been able to keep it my little secret for years now.

I'm not, however, dealing with this bug that I seem to have caught. It scares the hell out of me. I hate doctors, but I'm suddenly more worried about finding out what is wrong with me than what the doctor might do to me.

When I get my test results back my life will never be the same again.

Because of language and adult situations, this audiobook is not suitable for listeners under 17.

EMOTIONAL. TISSUES ON THE READY

Oh My Gawd this book had me All Crunched up ALL Inside. Emm's life is one after another & another by a drunk and drug fuelled Mother, then more abuse by her Mother's Boyfriend.
Her life is most of the time saved by Nick & the Boys Jessie, Jake & Shane from Nick's trailer, until that is when they go off on tour after they become a big famous group Demon Wings.
And She felt All alone then when they come back they take her in at 15, so yes they're a few years older than her & JUST the kind of Not just support but friends,
Then that friendship love becomes SO MUCH deeper & Becomes Lover's Love between Emm & Nick even though they tried to fight it & then Emm decides she can't take watching the girls throw themselves at Nick.....

Loved this story!

This first story in the Demons Wings rocker series was so well written and the narration was excellent. I loved the story about how the poor abused little girl was looked after by the preteen boys and even once they became famous they never stopped caring for her. Emmy loves “her boys”, but there’s always been a special spot for Nick in her heart. When she starts to become sick on tour, the band finds out something that either has the power to break them all apart or to bring them to a place where family is everything.

Love the Rocker stories

I asked audible for rocker stories and this is one of those recommended. I loved this story. It was very different from those groupie type stories. The story/history of Emmie and Nik was wonderful. A true love story. Terri Anne Browning did a great job of writing this great story. The narrator did a great job of relaying Ms. Browning's story and development of the characters. Looking forward to the next story.

Made me smile

Any additional comments?

This is the first book I've read/listened to by this writer, it was fast paced, steamy and kept my interest while on the tread mill (which is most important to me, I hate exercise) I enjoyed it so much I bought book 2 in the series

Short but soo sweet!

I loved the relationship between Emmie and Nick. The protective but loving nature of the big family of Rockers that raised her. The length didnt take anything from the book either. It was still hit all the great points. I'm hoping this is a jumping point for mor3 detailed books to come.

So good but too short

Would you consider the audio edition of The Rocker Who Holds Me to be better than the print version?

I never read the book.

Would you recommend The Rocker Who Holds Me to your friends? Why or why not?

Absolutely. It was soooo good, but way too short to be an audiobook. These books are expensive so I typically never buy a book this short however it was on sale so I did. It was definitely worth the sale.

Have you listened to any of Devra Woodward’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first time I listened to her.

Any additional comments?

This book could have been a 4 star book because it was extremely well written. But for the cost versus length of the audio I just can't do 4 stars. However, if its on sale get it you won't regret it. It really is good.

Good start to a series

I don't usually get such short audio books but I am glad I did with this one. It is well written and the narrative was well performed. I highly recommend this short but hot and sexy start to a series

Short and sweet

I generally don't go for the shorter stories when listening to audiobooks because it's usually just sex with no content. This had a sweet story, not too much drama and one steamy sex scene. The book could have easily been padded to make it longer(as many books in this genre are) but I like that the story is short and straight to the point.
Good for a quick dose of the feels. I wouldn't spend a credit on it because it's only 4 bucks but definitely worth a listen.

Sweet and great

So glad I found this author and her stories on accident! this was a great little listen and I broke my own number one rule! I ONLY listen to books during my commute. I NEVER EVER read the one I'm listening to at the same tine. since audio books are kind of expensive I want them to lady as long as possible. I broke that rule with this one and am doing it with book two already.
