Publisher's Summary

Ember Wells knows the meaning of terror. A reporter by day, her nights are spent hiding from a serial killer known as The Seeker. He's stalked her for a year, terrorizing her through the lens of a camera. Held prisoner by paranoia, fear becomes a lonely companion...until she meets bad boy Angelo Dimitrov, a dark, mysterious vampire who sets her world on fire.

Angelo Dimitrov is not what he seems. Sexy as sin and shrouded in secrets, he appears out of nowhere and moves in next door. Should Ember run from this stranger with the moss green eyes, or give in to her heart and be burned alive...

Recommend listening to the books in order. Though this boxed set is a serial of five parts merged together to complete book one, it does have a happily ever after. The rest of the books in the series are not serials. They are complete novels with a happily ever after as well, and the stories move forward with a new hero and heroine in books two and three.

This series is a dark paranormal romance with graphic and erotic scenes.

    "Great audible"

I love the voice of Johnny Mack telling the stories of my favorite author, Ditter Kellen. He bring any book and character to life with his amazing voice and Ditter Kellen bring them to life in our hearts, soul, and mind. Can't wait to listen to the rest of this series in the future. Thank you Ditter Kellen and Johnny Mack for an incredible story.

being that this is the first book in this series and I own the kindle book, this was a great addition to the first book. it not only does the whisper sync but it also captures your attention and makes you want to start Shon right away. "80s Porn"

I was disappointed in this story. I am a huge fan of Ditter, but this, well, it was not my cup of tea. If you like straight erotica, this book would be great for you. There were points in the story where I was thinking, this doesn't make sense. The story line lacked and was not as detailed as her other books. The narrator worked with what he had.

    "ALMOST 4 STARS"

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, in exchange for an unbiased review.

I get amazed at how many takes there can be on the vampire culture. Ditter Kellan has such a far-out imagination that she's come up with a fresh new one. Even though there's a lot of unbelievable action or reactions of the characters, it's good anyway. The fun, lots of sex, kind of good. We have the human who doesn't know there's vampire blood in her ancestry and the drool worthy hunky neighbor vampire that instantly connects with her and tons of insatiable sex. There's a villain that hates vampires and deceiving co-workers and a wonderful best friend.

See? all the elements of a sexy, drippy, fun listen!

    ONE THUMB HELD PROUD!

    Story
    "Not for me"
Would you try another book from Ditter Kellen and/or Johnny Mack?

Probably Not. I don't think the writing was terrible, I think it is really just my preference on having more action and interaction between love interests.

What could Ditter Kellen have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I think this is more of a personal Preference, But I can't stand when there is instant In love with each other and instant Sex. Don't get me wrong, I like sex in books, But there has to be some build up between characters some banter or interaction or a reason for them liking each other other than they are Hot.

How could the performance have been better?

I think when an accent is mentioned several times, that character should have an accent.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Ember?

The meet and fall in love and f*#@ within minutes part.

    Any additional comments?

I received this book for an honest review, and after reading the description I was really looking forward to listening. Unfortunately I think this just ended up not being my Type of book. would be great for somebody who doesn't have the same preferences as me. The writing wasn't bad.

    "Suspenseful , sexy and surprising"

I loved this story and it was great to enjoy it all over again in a different way! I am becoming a fan of this narrator because he seems to be real good at keeping the difference between the voices. This is a steamy and intense storyline. I suggest settling in by yourself to listen for two reasons, you won't want to be disturbed and the heat!

    Story
    "Wrong narrator!!?"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Let me start by saying i don't hate this book. I actually really like it, but with that being said the narration threw everything off big time. This guy sounds like and over-sexual and and masculine buffalo bill! I don't think this guy would have been bad in other stories but it just didn't do it for me with this. I rather read this on my kindle unlimited account and I plan on getting my audible credit back for this.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ember?

It's not a bad story and I love that there was historical people in the story. I just prefer to read this book than listen to it.

How could the performance have been better?

This definitely needs a new narrator. A sexy voice and I might just could not have connected with this narrator. But I have read books from this author and have loved them. This Narrator was too weird sounding to me.

Was Ember worth the listening time?

Not listening but she most definitely has some good stories to tell if you're will to give the time to read them.
