Such an honest insight into the experience of bipolar both from the inside and its impact on the people around the person

Really raw and engaging account of mental illness

Having bipolar type 1 myself and having had mania leading to psychosis this book made me feel validated. To hear Kat's account of her descent into the world of bipolar mania was so refreshing. Someone so brave to share an honest account of their story. Mara does an amazing job at telling the supporters side of the story. The most incredible thing is that we actually get to hear realtime recordings of Kat's mania.

What a fantastic book, read by both authors. written with compassion and true humanity. Totally absorbing, I felt like I was living their story. It took a bit of getting used to - the two different voices - and especially the occasional mobile phone audio recordings. It's about suffering, pleasure, pain, trauma, truth, healing and most of all, the power of love and of a truly deep friendship. Thank you both and I wish you well
