Summary

Welcome to episode four of Audible Original Podcast: You Heard It Here First. The podcast that helps you discover the best that Audible has to offer.

Here’s what you can expect from this episode:

We’re hearing from you! This week we picked out an Audible member’s rousing 5-star review of My Sister The Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. It’s pretty convincing.

Expect our honest opinions on our new favourite listens. You’ll learn why Everything Is Figureoutable in Marie Forleo’s audiobook and what’s really going on in a teenager’s brain with the Audible Original podcast What Were You Thinking? with Dina Temple-Raston.

Joining us with more recommendations, listen to two Audible Editors describe why they absolutely love the hard-hitting biography The Trauma Cleaner by Sarah Krasnostein and Anna Ellory’s debut historical fiction novel, The Rabbit Girls.

We round off with a quick word from the oh so fabulous Jonathan Van Ness before we turn the mic around to animal facts lover, Sarah, in our Genre Corner.

Absolutely the most irritating person ever.

I found Imriel Morgan's delivery so annoying. Her voice is like fingernails on a blackboard with the affected gravelly pitch. The speed gives you the impression she wants to be gone as fast as possible. Her pronunciation of some words is really annoying how do you get buck out of book, luck out of look, or doortahh out of daughter, and the overuse of like. She is so over bright and jolly that if she ever appears as a narrator, irrespective of who wrote the book... or should that be buck.. I will give it a definite miss. It isn't often that I listen to someone and they just put my hackles up and annoy me so intensely..
The only good thing about this set of bucklets..ooops booklets was that it was free.Or it would have been sent straight back like!!! aaargh. It is a shame as I don't know if I have missed any hidden gems
