Summary
Step right up, step right up and don’t be shy - welcome to Victorian Secrets, and the secrets of... The Freak Show. The secrets of enormously fat men and bearded ladies, the secrets of exotic women with enticingly large buttocks, the secrets of Siamese Twins and dwarf families and, in particular, the secrets of our own, our very own Aztec Children, seen by half a million people on the European continent before they publicly revealed their own, personal, extraordinary secret.
We’ll go backstage to hear the terrible secrets of the freaks themselves, we’ll lift the lace curtains of Buckingham Palace, where our own Queen, god bless her, took tea with the tiny, the towering and the terribly formed.

Fry is in his element narrating Victorian history
It's particularly engaging when he talks about his literary hero: Oscar Wilde. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable and highly engaging.

Simply excellent
I'm really enjoying this series and Mr Fry narrates this beautifully as usuall. This episode takes a sneaky peek at the royal family during the Victorian era.

Great stories, but oh the music!
Brilliant stories and narration. For me though the music was very intrusive. Quite unnecessary as it adds nothing to the narrative. Pity you can’t just turn it off.

Naughty Victorians!
Mr. Fry reads with candour as usual. great subject matter, very much enjoyed.
Also the voice actors and learned professors add much to bring the atmosphere into your ears

Please re-edit without or minimise background piano.
It is very f*cking annoying. I deleted after five minutes. A shame. Please do. The music is overbearing and takes attention away from the content.

Omg they raided people and stole kids
From their family and brought them to England for a freak show. I can’t listen anymore. The above is narrated in a jolly fashion too :( I had to stop it playing in my ear before I cried. How horrible. Wish I could return the whole series now
