A funny and touching memoir by the queen of comedy! For decades, Joan Rivers was known as America's top female comedian...her brash unsparing style and truly tenacious spirit inspired both her fellow comedians and millions of fans. In Enter Talking, Rivers recounts her road to success and stardom from the inside out—detailing her anguish, her anger, her insight, and her inspiration. Hear the comedian's rags-to-riches struggle to the top—in her own voice—and learn how her breakthrough act not only changed her world but also changed the world of stand-up comedy. And if you can't get enough of Joan's story, be sure to check out the sequel, Still Talking!©1986 Joan Rivers (P)1986 Phoenix Books Entertainment & Celebrities Women Funny

Joan Rivers is truly amazing! Her poignant words and heartfelt retelling of her story warmed me deeply. How poetic that I should hear her first book for the first time on the 3rd anniversary of her death...and what a true shame it is that Joan isn't still with us.

I cried with her at the end, and I look forward to my next book by Joan.

My absolute favourite!

Joan Rivers has been an idol for a long time and now I can't see her live anymore I craved more. This book gave me more than I expected. It's her biography from being a young girl to her appearance on The Tonight Show. How much rejection she underwent before she finally brokethrough. Read in her own voice, it's comical, uplifting and heartbreaking. I finished it on the verge of tears of joy for Ms Rivers.

I didn't expect to be so touched

We lost a great talent in Joan and this book really exemplifies her intelligence, wit and humility. Few so great have such a sense of humour about themselves.

A true inspiration

I just discovered Joan, after learning that she was the inspiration for the TV show Mrs Maisel. Joan is infinitely funnier. Having only being familiar with her later work, it was a great pleasure to discover how amazing she was when she started out. Please make more Joan audio books!

Hilarious and inspiring
