I loved it, I have read the book, and when I saw it was on an audio book, I needed to get it. The male voice actor did the gruffness perfectly. I was fully emersed in an amasing story.

Some comments say the beginning is boring and “slow”, but I found it well balanced and important for a story to build on further, nothing heavy at all.

Sometimes you follow an authors booklist because you've loved everything so far - so naturally just jump into book after book without reading the bookflap first - yeah never again.
I've loved everything this author duo has done so far but one thing about me is that I have a huge spider phobia, so a romance between one with 8 eyes and a tarantula body, no thanks My worst nightmare 🫣
The story arc is interesting and the world building is intriguing but sex between these two just skeeves me out.

Who knew that a spider alien would be sexy? He is a sexy, monster alien who is a bit of a loner. Well, Tiffany Roberts gave us everything we needed. It is a slow burn with building tension and they can't even communicate for part of the book (language barrier). The learning each others languages, trying to understand what they consider odd behaviour and the teasing was all so adorably cute (in the right dosage). The spice, when it finally happened, was 🔥 hot 🔥hot 🔥: rope play is spicy 🌶af.
We also get an amazing world building that was easy to understand, there was also political turmoil. How can Tiffany Roberts come up with this stuff. Amazing.
Be aware it ends on a cliffhanger 😩
The narration was outstanding and made the story even better.
