Summary

Emergencies can happen anywhere: at home, at work, and it can be where you are right now.

What would happen if a hurricane, tsunami, tornado, or house fire destroys your home tomorrow? Would you be able to stay alive?

Every year in the US alone, more than 10,000 people die because of natural calamities. The bigger problem is... it's not the tragedy itself that killed them...it's their lack of knowledge.

If it happens now, will you know what to do? Will you disappoint people who are relying on you?

You might even make a costly mistake of dying by doing something...rather than doing nothing.

But now, you can be confident and prepared with this guidebook. Usually only known to top survivalists and emergency-response teams, this can maximize your chances of survival in any kind of emergency.

This audiobook includes:

  • How to develop a survivalist mind-set and be prepared for absolutely anything
  • The single most important thing you need to do before doing anything else
  • Surefire gears that will drive your emergency survival a success
  • How to fast-track your medical knowledge to make sure your patient survives
  • The things people forget when they leave home but are very important

If you don't learn what's inside this audiobook, you risk losing your life and other people in an emergency situation.

It's a handy size to keep in your bug out bag.

I just received this today and started to read it. The information is good especially for someone like me who is untrained in 1st aid, but recognizes that we all need to know the basics. It's a handy size to keep in your bug out bag.

My back jeans pocket.

I dove in right away and read and reread. This is going to be right where I can get my hands on it at a moment's notice. I might order another for the car just in case. I love the small size which can fit into my cargo pocket, or my back jeans pocket.

I feel it to be a must have.

I had originally purchased this book for the kindle app on my iPad, but I quickly realized just how valuable and well written it was and purchased the paperback version for our emergency first aid kit. Seriously, this book is so very wonderful and I feel it to be a must have.

Leading scouting trips.

So far I'm impressed by the range of topics this book covers. I was looking for something besides the 'standard' first aid manuals to use in the back country leading scouting trips.

Great information in this book.

Great information in this book, extremely well put together, and cover's most (if not all) of the major medical emergencies that Jon Q Public might encounter. An essential item for any hiker's backpack or prepper's go bag.

Terrific first aide pocket-sized manual.

Terrific first aide pocket-sized manual. Great handy reference to throw in a backpack or in the glove box. Nice to have just in case you need something quick. Easy to read and very comprehensive.

I am starting to work on tomorrow.

I enjoyed his description of his personal development and how his world view changed over the course of his experiences. This is a great book for anybody worries about where the world is heading and how they will fare WTSHTF. I walked away with a long to-do list that I am starting to work on tomorrow.

Maybe even help others.

Don't let it stress you out - just prepare as much as you can and you'll be able to take care of yourself in a disaster, and maybe even help others.

It worked to shock me out of my complacency.

The trajectory the author was on has more to do with what is happening and what steps to take in the USA, in my humble opinion. For someone who has more-or-less disconnected myself from that grid, it worked to shock me out of my complacency.

I loved the ending. I was not prepared for it based on all he preparation he had done. You can learn a lot and be entertained by his journey.

This book was so entertaining.

After reading Lights Out, now Emergency, I've started stocking up. My garage is slowly transforming into an emergency center. This book was so entertaining, I forgot that it was incredibly informative and life changing. I loved it and was sorry when it ended!

We need other people to truly thrive.

The most fascinating part of this book was watching the author transform from the "runner" to the fighter, and realize the most important survival skill of all is to learn that we need other people to truly thrive.

's a journey worth reading.

This is kind a wild read, but it's a good read. If you are a prepper, or just worried about where this world is headed, read this book. As someone who would not describe myself as paranoid, I often feel paranoid when I am buying bugout bag items or working on survival skills. Reading this book put a lot of those things in perspective and gave me a lot of good ideas about how to avoid becoming a victim in the event the word goes to sh!t. This is not a survival book. It's a journey worth reading.

Impressed by what he accomplished.

Great book, not what I expected. As a matter of fact, at first skip I thought I made a mistake. I was looking for lots of survival techniques and tricks. Turns out, it is about how to learn all these things, and what you might not have thought was necessary to learn. So in the end, I read it straight through, and was impressed by what he accomplished.
