Summary

A young girl’s escape from a life of horrific abuse. And the killer from her past who continues to haunt her...

Elenore Griffin is finally free of the abuse she’s suffered most all her young life. But some demons never die, and the road to freedom is laced with a new kind of pain. To break free, Elenore must confront her troubled past head-on.

But deep beneath the trauma lies something dark and dangerous. With every buried memory she unearths, Elenore finds herself more and more trapped in a web of lies and deceit, leading up to a fatal, earth-shattering collision with the killer who haunts her.

This is her life. This is her story.

Interesting

This was interesting. It starts where book 1 leaves off. I like the Dexter-ish qualities I think is going to start

Great Read

Elle Returns: Elle Series Book Two was another great psychological thriller by Ditter Kellen. Elenore is finally free of all the abuse she’s endured in her short life. Unfortunately all the pains and demons don’t go away easily. In order for her to be free, she must face her past head-on. Beneath all her trauma lies something extremely dark and dangerous. I love reading Elle’s story and how she tries to regain control of her life. I can’t wait to read more by Ditter Kellen.

Exciting suspenseful thriller!

I am Elle part 2 continues as Eleanor slowly starts to heal a little under Detective Evan Ramirez protective care. When Unforeseen circumstances with his grandmother and a child he knew nothing about takes him back to Atlanta he can’t very well leave her alone so he takes Eleanor with him. Eleanor is settling into her new life until something goes terribly wrong and Elle surfaces again...I’m totally loving this series and I definitely recommend this story to anyone but make sure to read it in order. I can’t wait for the next book!

Justice for Elenore

Elle Returns begins where I Am Elle ended with Evan walking into the graveyard basement. Elenore seeks justice for herself after years of abuse at the hands of powerful men.

Elenore’s only had the love from her father who sold her body to men who raped and abused her. From the age of eight Elenore was conditioned for a life of abuse. Elenore grew to fear men because the men that she interacted with wanted sexual favors from her.

Narrator:
Lia Frederick is a fresh name in the narrator industry. I enjoyed her performance. She brought this story and it’s characters to life. I love finding and exploring new narrators. While she’s not new to the industry she is a name I’m not familiar with. I will certainly listen to more of her audiobooks if I come across one with her name on it.

A Great Listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. How does darkness grow in a person? Is it always there or is grown by mistreatment and pain. Eleanor has survived her ordeal and now she has a chance at a new life. Once again an evil man tries and may succeed to take everything away from her. Elle has different plans. You'll find yourself listen much longer then you intended as the suspense build. Looking forward to the next book.

so many possibilities with this story ...

you are left with so many questions, I wish the author would really develope the story more. I was hoping to get some answers with the second book. nope, you're only left with more questions with the continuing story. my first time reading this author, if there is a third book, I hope she can pull a rabbit out of her hat. otherwise, don't waste your time. I read a ton of thrillers and both of these books had so much potential to be 8-10 hour books vs the 4 hours. if that's any indication of what your getting.

Ditter Kellen just keeps getting better!

I usually find the first book in a fiction series to be the best, but I have to say that this second book in the Elle series is definitely an exception. I couldn't stop listening to it and only stopped because of the late (or maybe it was very early) hour. I hung on every word. I can't wait for the next book.
