Summary

Lave: A single planet, orbiting a dying star. For centuries, spacefarers have visited, docked at the space station, and left, with no thought for the people on the planet below. Bad luck at cards means bad luck all around for Pietro Devander, who journeys halfway across human-controlled space to this ancient planet, whose name is barely remembered.

What he finds is resistance. What it becomes is revolution.

From the producers of Escape Velocity comes the audio drama adaptation of Allen Stroud's incredible novel.

o7 cmdrs your love it

I'm biased as I love the game elite dangerous , but this is a great story with really good characters you feel like you are living and breathing the game . A truly excellent performance leaves you hanging on every word .I can't recommend this enough even if you are not a elite dangerous gamer this as a stand alone story is brilliant

A Real Space Epic - Recommended

I knew nothing of 'Elite' prior to listening and am not a huge sci-fi fan, but really enjoyed this epic space adventure. It's a full-cast production with a lot of investment put into the sound design and you'll definitely want to listen to this on headphones to get the full benefits. There is a lot of plot here but it's an absolutely solid story told with panache, that feels more grown-up than some of television sci-fictions.

Exelent Drama.

A good story told in parts by an extent cast.
Having it told in parts brings in the feeling of episodes. What happens next week.
Some if the cast do sound a bit young for the part they are playing, but with such a large cast it's not to bad

The phoenix is reborn

It starts dark, you are there too. The fear, intensity, rush are all around. You know there is hope, that there is an end but you don't know who will be lucky and who not.

Excellent story, amazing production.

Brilliant, loved it.

Absolutely loved this, as a fan of Elite Dangerous this was so good to be immersed in the universe. A well written story with all the right sounds. Well done.
If I had to pick my niggles with it though, I don't need a cast list read to me after each chapter, and the actress who tries a Liverpool accent really misses the mark (sounds like Red Dwarfs Lister if he was Welsh) made me cringe each time she was on. But all in all brilliant.

Good fun, definitely worth a credit

Anything with Toby Longworth is going to be decent. His involvement always a good sign. I enjoyed this very much, but it did get a wee bit confusing at times as it jumped between certain characters with similar voices. And there's a bit with some kids in a school that goes unresolved. Is that a flashback? Maybe the next book will reveal more.

Definitely worth a punt if you like the Elite universe. Stick it on during those long treks out in the black.

Right on, Commanders. o7
